Introducing Heron House located on the scenic South Bay of Little St. Germain Lake. Heron House is a large, bright 4 bedroom home, accommodating up to 12 guests. The house is the perfect blend of natural elements and modern amenities, fully equipped to provide a carefree vacation in style and comfort. Heron House welcomes you into an open concept kitchen and dining area with large windows overlooking the lake and wooded property.
The owner’s suites is located on the upper level with a full bathroom and a queen bed. Three bedrooms are conveniently located on the lower level with sleeper sofas included for additional sleeping arrangements. Enjoy cozy evenings cuddled up around the wood burning fire place or enjoy an evening cocktail out on the screened porch.
The kitchen is fully appointed with an island counter and everything you’ll need to entertain during your vacation. Relax in comfort around the fire pit after a long day of enjoying the property’s sandy and private dock. Secure your watercraft safely or fish right off the dock while enjoying the eagles soaring overhead. End the perfect Northwoods day with a picnic under the stars along the lakefront while taking in the starlit sky.
Little St. Germain Lake has a diverse shoreline and many areas to find quiet water to ski or just float for the afternoon. There are islands to explore with great sandy areas to enjoy a sandbar picnic with the family! For the fishermen in the group, the lake is also known for its musky, bass, crappie, bluegill, northern pike, perch, and walleye.

Beautiful lake views; quiet and relaxing. Excellent lake access, long pier, fire pit for campfire with plenty of chairs. Lot of mosquitoes around the shaded areas of the cabin; beach area needs sand. Property listing included washing machine but there was not one available.

The location of this cabin was outstanding. Close enough to the water with only a small incline to get to the pier. Perfect! But the cabin is in dire need of upgrades. Upon arrival the musty smell was overwhelming! Staff was quick to bring a dehumidifier that cleared up the smell nicely but we couldn't understand why this wouldn't have been running prior to our arrival. Was not a very good first impression. There were six adults staying in the cabin and only two of us had any good sleep. Most of the furniture was old and uncomfortable. The chairs around the awesome family dinning table were a bit rickety. The recliner chair was broken. We were able to get my 89yr old Mother in and out of it but she wouldn't have been able to do it by herself. Two of the four kayaks supplied with the unit had cracks and leaked. The railing leading out of the screened porch was loose. There was visible mold on the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. This happens to a lot of us in our own homes but a little mold resistant paint goes a long way. The fan in the bathroom didn't work either - might help with the mold to get that fixed. The fan above the stove did not work - the fire alarms got a bit of a workout from this - but at least we knew they worked. These criticisms are meant only as well intended suggestions as the piece of property that this cabin is on is absolutely gorgeous. The cabin itself is solid. Great fire pit. In all fairness we did stay at the cabin at the end of the "season" and I am sure all rental properties have some fix-ups needed at that time but we paid good money to stay here and just expected a little more. We would def stay here again as all in all we had a wonderful time at the fire pit and at the awesome family table. The deer were abundant and unafraid of our presence. This place needs some TLC and it could be absolutely outstanding!!
