Cottage in the heart of Beach haven!

The cottage is cute set back from the road, Parking though is hard to find. I parked in the driveway because there were no spots on the street. The next day I received an email telling me to move my car or be towed. I assumed that is where you parked but as requested moved to a spot I found down the street. The cottage is just as described. The living room was adequate with a tv, a sofa and a loveseat. My only compliant is that there was no cable. It was mostly apps which brought you to old shows and a few network news shows which repeated during the day. You could not get any of the network TV shows as they were being broadcast. There was Netflix though. The air conditioning was good for main area but there is none in the other rooms. The kitchen had most of what as needed. There is a stove and a frig. The coffee maker is a Keurig, so make sure to bring or buy some K cups if you want coffee. It could use an electric teapot to boil water and a toaster oven. There was a toaster as well as plates and utensils to use. The bathroom is tiny. It had a toilet, a sink and a tiny shower. I had to duck to wash my hair and you had to watch that you turned the spout towards the inner wall or the water would squirt on the floor behind you. There was a plastic sheet there but it didn't cover the whole area. Both bedrooms were of a nice size with new beds.. Beach towels and linens for the beds were provided but make sure you bring your own as well. All in all, not bad for the price on LBI

Perfect location. The house was very clean!

For a couple of adults who don’t plan to spend much time inside, this might work. For a family or 4 with two small children, this was really not it. The good: great location, easy check in, good AC. The neutral: tough beds and tiny living space (especially bathroom), but could have overlooked that. The bad: the place was simply not clean. We arrived and put our 10 month old down so he could move around a little bit after having been in the car for 5 hours - picked him up five minutes later and his legs and hands were black with dirt. I mean absolutely filthy. We reached out right away via message and never heard back (not ok). We wound up cleaning ourselves (used almost an entire box of swiffer wipes and several rounds of paper towels - all of which were black with dirt) - we vacuumed, mopped, wiped down all the surfaces, cleaned the bathroom etc all before we could even unpack our stuff. In hindsight the message that was sent to us at check in stating that they “left us cleaning supplies so the next guests can have a great experience” is a lot clearer - I guess they expect each guest to clean for the next ones? Idk. Regardless, the level of grime was unacceptable. Further, there was a bad smell in the main living space that was being covered by one of those jars of scented beads that just made it worse. We had a really nice time at the beach, but we won’t stay here again. Again, maybe if I were in my 20s and just needed a cool dry place to crash out each night!
