AMAZING property !! The absolute nicest home I have ever rented - immaculate, top of the line furnishings, private beach and a deck to die for. Spent two weeks to celebrate our retirements and it was the perfect venue to decompress. Lubec and West Quoddy about an hour east, Acadia and Bar Harbor about 1.5 hours west. I enjoyed watching the lobster boats come into the harbor daily. The locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. Absolute perfection !! Thank you Susan and George !!

We’re seasoned travelers and owners of multiple vacation properties. This property was exceptional and unlike any place we have stayed in the past. The home was immaculate. The views were spectacular. It’s rare to find a property with a private beach but that’s exactly what we had! What made this exceptional was the location. The town of Jonesport is magical; it’s such a scenic and authentic fishing village. The town folk could not be nicer! Moosabec Mussels and Look Lobster companies provide some of the best fresh shellfish you can imagine. Susan’s home has everything to cook amazing meals in her gourmet kitchen. Other touches like Dolby surround audio for the tv’s, an ocean front fire pit and a glorious sun room make this home so top notch. Our Siberian Husky was in heaven exploring the beach and the forrest. Susan was an exceptional host and this was one of our favorite trips ever!

This property checked all boxes. I was worried at first if it would be kid friendly, as we have a 13, 11, 11 and 9 year old, and if we would find enough to do in the area. Both worries were unnecessary. First, the property itself was incredible, the views are second to none, a private beach to hunt for sea treasures, a firepit for smores, the master bed was dreamy, the kitchen made it fun to cook in, washer and dryer, so we could catch up on laundry.My favorite room was the front sun room. I camped out in here for many hours, drinking coffee, watching the lobster boats, even got up at 4am to see an incredible sunrise. I set up my laptop and was able to work, with excellent wifi, watching the ocean. Even a few days of seals playing in the harbor. The property was private and secluded.As far as the town of Jonesport, we absolutely loved it. Looking for lobster, go visit Garet on Beals Island at Barney Cove Lobster Co. The island had a few hiking trails we explored. We drove one day up to Lubec and crossed over into Canada, go at low tide so you can walk to the lighthouse. And dont forget the Quoddy Head Light House.If you are on the fence about this property, BOOK IT!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful property along the water that we hardly left because would be tougher to find a nicer view elsewhere! Although somewhat isolated, provided peace and quiet broken up occasionally by the lobster boats. Lucky to find after a last minute cancellation by Coastal Maine Getaways in York (which I would recommend against). Two thumbs up, however, for Sea Duck Cottage!!
