Outsatanding stay..this place will heal you. Stay at least a week. The view of the river is a treasure. Sleeping to the sound of the river each night is soothing. The layout of the house is perfect for a big group but even better for two.

The location of this cabin is amazing if you want to be outside of town - with stunning views and babbling creek to lull you asleep at night. The garden level basement is great for kids.

For the price that you pay for this place, we were very surprised how average the place was with all the 5 star reviews. The decking is atrocious. The deck screws are coming up throughout the the lower and upper deck to where we have a kid step on a rusty screw tip. Because of the screw issues, you'll see countless deck boards sticking up which made it a safety hazard. The railing on the upper deck is not well attached at the corners which again is a huge safety hazard The beds are old and you can see how old in that you'll always end up in the middle given the very pronounced indentation in each of them. The bunk bed swayed horribly and again, was a bit of a hazard so we had to figure out how to sure it up so someone could sleep there. The shuffle board isn't even close to being level so good luck trying to actually play a game on it without it curling off the side every time. Again, for the price point you would expect some basic amenities, like drier sheets, decent tissues, and more than one extra roll of paper towels.... but your expectations would be dashed. They have those tissues you get at the DMV, no drier sheets, and one roll of paper towels so don't use them unless you absolutely have to. This home is in a great place, it really is. However, given the state of disrepair , it seems like they are gouging whatever they can for this place without spending anything to make it safe. At 500 a night, other places are much more updated for the price.

The manager was communicative. The house was clean and well stocked. It worked very well for our group and gave us plenty of space to spread out. The shuffleboard table was a lot of fun. The woodstove and hot tub were key on a frigid weekend.

We gathered here for a family celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the home and all its amenities. There are lots of different places to get together for activities - games, pool table, hot tub, movie room, and "shuffleboard" table. The balcony offered stunning views of the chalk cliffs and surrounding forest. Nearby hiking near Mt. Princeton was awesome. Kitchen was great for preparing great meals to be shared around the large dining table. Everything was clean and well-cared for. Thanks for a memorable trip!

This place is fantastic! Tons of room for large groups, a beautiful creek and mountain views. If you need to get to BV, Monarch, or other locations it's a short drive. The property management was proactive asking if we needed anything. Overall, a great stay and property that we would use again.

Heat was not working in several rooms. Property management was extremely responsive sending out repair man right away, who couldn't fix some of it because of design flaws. They then quickly provide good space heaters. Hot tub cover weighed about 80 pounds; needs replacement. Pool table and shuffleboard were fun. Plenty of space for big group. Beautiful setting.

The house was impeccable when we got there and all amenities made our stay very comfortable: all TVs, the pool table, the shuffleboard, the hot tub, the deck, the quick access to the river, the house is equipped to have fun without having to leave it. The neighborhood was very quiet and we even enjoyed close encounters with deer. The kitchen was very well equipped and comfortable making it a very easy operation to feed 10+ people at once. Overall great place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

We had two families stay at this property and it was a great fit with lots of beds and sleeping arrangement possibilities, many bathrooms, different spaces for kids and adults. The creek was beautiful, we saw lots of deer, and it was just a short hop over to the hot springs.

Property was even better in person. Outstanding location on the river. So many decks and spaces to relax. Loved the ample seating and large kitchen. Games were a bonus. Plenty of towels and special touches. Especially loved the binoculars to view the Great Horned Owl sitting across the way. We did have mice eating our food in the kitchen, so that was a bit of a unnerving. Also, deck can use some work and the refrigerator froze our leafy veggies and we had to throw them away. Easy things to fix.

Rippling waters is AWESOME! Everything we needed and More! We were only there for 2 nights but felt very relaxed after we left- Would DEFINATELY rent again! The only thing I could say is that maybe have some extra blankets available for the beds- All of them had just a thin bedspread on them, which wasn't too horrible but would be nice to have blankets available for people who needed more. Other than that, everything was perfect!

House was great on chalk creek. Upstairs toilet didn’t work was told would get a refund and drier didn’t t work either. Shouldn’t be hard to get these fixed. Also porch wood dated and easy to get splinters. Other than that fantastic perfect location couldn’t ask for much better.

I highly recommend this place for the people that have highly stressful jobs to get a way and relax. We stayed a week. The ability to fish in the back yard and then eat what you catch in a matter of minutes is priceless. The sound of the river will lull you to sleep each night. The hot tub is the reward for hiking the valley all day. I caught so many fish that I felt guilty and went to the nearby hatchery and feed the fish. The only draw back of the place is the deck needs to be repaired and updated. Do not walk on it without shoes and don't lean on the railing or you will get up and personal with the river. The hot tub cover is really heavy lift with your legs not your back. The place was really clean and the property management company was responsive for everything we needed including driving 30 min from Salida to bring us a new propane tank. After staying in several VRBOs all over the country we rank this one number two of all the ones we have stayed in.

We stayed at the beautiful mountain home as our delayed family Christmas. We loved that it was somewhat secluded, and right on Chalk creek. A nice open layout for family time, and enough privacy for each couple. We enjoyed the hot tub and shuffleboard as well. Thanks for sharing this space with us!

The kitchen space was nice. The location and surrounding outside area could not be better. However, we could only stay one night out of our week trip because of the broken beds and dog hair everywhere including bedding. For this price sheets should be cleaned and all the beds advertised should be functional.
