The cabin was in a lovely wooded location with gorgeous views. The house itself was very cozy, well-appointed, and immaculate. We enjoyed cozying up by the fire surrounded by the Christmas decor! The owner was communicative and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We vacation near Asheville every fall and have now found our favorite vacation home and view. Jason was a superb host and was in contact with helpful information on arrival and departure. The home is spacious, comfortable, and has a well-appointed kitchen. Hiking trails are close by and the neighborhood is sooo quiet! We will definitely return

Hot water tank failure one day into stay. While the owner did his diligence in trying to contact a plumber, the immediate solution to the problem, aside from apologies, was to have two elderly individuals drive 9.2 miles round-trip and take a shower in a community center at a ski resort, and to refund a pittance of the total sum invested in this trip. This felt like “sorry for the problem, sucks to be you, glad it isn’t me” type of response so often encountered in today’s world. At absolutely no point in time was the offer made to refund the balance of the charges if we wanted to depart and find alternative lodging. Nope. It was ‘here’s $## back, now you drive to some center we as property owners enjoy and take a shower if you feel the need. Oh, and by the way, if you ever decide to stay again, you can get a reduced price.’ Nice gesture that many hosts give to returning customers, but didn’t quite address the current situation. Did we find our stay at Whitewater Whispers to be a good value? One full day of yes, absolutely. Four days of no, not a chance. Am I overreacting? Try shutting hot water off at your house for three days and report back. If I were to offer a suggestion, find someone in the area qualified to perform a visual maintenance inspection a couple of times a year. Stuff happens, but being prepared to address the stuff, not at the expense of the customer, is part of the rental gig.
