About this apartment rental
Our two bed, two bath condo sits on the top floor of SugarTop Mountain Resort. The view overlooking the ski slopes and mountains are breathtaking.
Newly updated furniture. We just added a queen couch bed for additional sleeping.
Our balcony overlooks Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and has spectacular sunset views!
Very close to Boone, Banner Elk, and minutes from Grandfather Mtn State Park. Ski in the winter, enjoy the cool mountain air in the summer and watch the leaves change in the fall.
Recently renovated kitchen and new flooring throughout. The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest has a queen and there is a queen pull out sectional couch with a memory foam mattress.
Enjoy the facilities at this wonderful resort. A large indoor pool overlooks the mountains, gym, 2 hot tubs, sauna and steam room are included.
A NOTE ON PARKING
This is a gated resort community
There is a shuttle for parking.
There is a top parking lot for owners and long term renters.
Sometimes, often, during the week guests are allowed to park up top too, and please do not count on this.
PLAN FOR A PARKING SHUTTLE after you unload at the lobby.
The shuttle is very instantaneous, should only add a 3 minutes hassle, AND makes it so you don’t have to drive up the steepest iciest road every time you go in and out.

Sugar Mountain has a shuttle to the slopes, it runs Friday from 4pm to 11pm, Saturday 8 AM to 11 PM & Sunday 8 AM to 4 PM. You can call and they’ll tell you when they’re going to be back around to pick up here at the Resort….typically the max wait is 30 minutes. It does not run during the week.

The kids loved sleeping on the bunk beds and the couch was super cozy. Thanks for providing pool noodles -they were a hit. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and pool towels. The check-in/registration process was VERY LONG!! We waited in the lower parking lot for an hour before being allowed up to the lobby where we had fifteen minutes to get unloaded in the dark. Indio pool and hot tubs were all excellent. The shuttle to and back to the lower parking seas ok but not very convenient

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and updated and perfect for our group. The beds were very comfortable! The owner was very responsive when we had questions or concerns.

The room we stayed in was very nice and communication with the owners was perfect. However the staff at sugar top itself were rude and no one could give me a straight forward answer. One employee told me where storage was a different employee told me
Somewhere else ended up getting locked out and couldn’t get to my belongings and got scolded by the front desk when asked about the storage being locked. The shuttle to take you from the parking lot to the hotel you would have to wait for for 5-10 minutes at a time. The parking lots themselves were completely covered in ice with no rock or salt added. We chose this location with the pretense that the slopes were easily accessible and that was very far from the truth. There was no way to walk to the slopes from the building and the curtesy shuttle that ran from sugar top to sugar mountain ski resort took us back to the room at lunch and never showed up or answered calls again costing us an afternoon and night of skiing (due to the parking lot now being g full at sugar and not accepting any others and didn’t give us the chance to buy the night time lift tickets at 5:00.) Again the individuals we rented from their room and their communication was great but the resort and the accessibility to the mountain as promised was poor and we won’t be staying here again. Skiers and snowboarders beware don’t cost yourself precious time having to deal with the hassle that my family and I had to deal with at sugar top. (Again not that owners of the unit. They were great)
