About this house rental
A unique and perfect setting for a tranquil getaway. This lovely cabin sits in the heart of the Julian Main District, at the intersection of Third St and B St - refreshingly beautiful , while being a few steps from the Main St.
The cozy, cute cabin , nestled amidst oak, apricot and plum trees and offering lot of privacy and serenity, is a great get away and offers a very relaxing, refreshing stay.
All the restaurants, the wolf center, and the Julian Beer Company etc., are just a minute walk. 7 miles from Lake Cuyamaca. DO NOT MISS. Anza Borrego State Park is 25 mins away.
The entrance is on the third street, along the fence adjoining the front building that says Old Well with a US Flag. The entrance leads into a vacant land and this cabin is located at the back side to the right.
There is a switch in the living room above the room AC, next to the door that turns on both the ceiling fans and the lights , there are strings to adjust.
In the inside room there is the dial along the wall adjacent to the sink that turns on the recessed ceiling lights.
The switch for the patio light is to the left of the door when you enter and I have labeled all the switches on an orange tape.
There are two ACs , one in each which provide substantial cooling. Please ensure that the remotes are carefully placed where they are.
The kitchen is equipped with all the cookware, utensils, plates, coffee machine, toaster etc.,.
This cottage is a historic property and is not set up for parties and no more than 4 people at most, with the exception of families with infants and toddlers.
This is a quiet neighborhood and a Noise Curfew is firmly in place. No outside noise or inside loud music or tv, before 8am and after 10pm.

Cute cabin close to downtown Julian! Cabin did need some tidying up but overall a great stay.

I give it a five star for location. Easy walking distance for anywhere downtown. We arrived approximately little more than an hour before check-in time and the host promptly responded and allowed us to check in . Though,it appeared clean as far as bedding, floors, appliances. it could certainly use a refresh of paint. Baseboards and doors were quite dirty looking. We were not able to use the kitchen at all, due to the ant problem. If you set anything down, ants appeared . The laundry was out back and can certainly use some maintenance to get to it. It was not a clean area and the dryer was full of clothes or bedding of some sort.The blinds were falling apart. Luckily, it wasn’t extremely cold in the evenings because there’s no heater that we could determine. Our grandson, daughter, and I all slept in the same bed because it was too cold for him to sleep on the bunkbed. The shower-head is almost impossible. It does not move, we are not over 5ft and because the shower is so small, the water, shoots straight at you, so we had to stand just about the edge of the shower entrance, however, it has a shower curtain, but because of the shower head, it basically soaks the outside floor. The toilet needed a little attention as it kept running and at times you had to wait to see if you can get it flushed. There was no outdoor hammock, as it shows in the picture. Now that we are familiar with the area, I believe I would look for a different cabin if we decide to visit again..
