There are three outdoor cameras on this property for the security of the property and the safety of guests. These are located at the front entrance, the sliding door on the deck, and overlooking the driveway and garage.
ONE pet dog is permitted, with notice. An additional $60 pet fee will be applied to cover additional cleaning costs. If guests do not disclose their pet dog prior to arrival, this fee will increase to $120. Pets should stay off the furniture and be in the control of their owner at all times. The guest must pick up all solid waste and dispose of it in sealed bags in outside trash cans. The guest is responsible for any additional costs incurred due to damage or waste left behind by the pet. We do not have a fenced in yard and the mountains do have predators. Because of this, no pet food should be left outside and guests bring the pet dog at their own risk.

Driveway parking (up to 3 cars) Covered garage for smaller vehicles or motorcycles. Front-wheel drive is required to access the property via a windy mountain road, with 4-wheel drive highly recommended, especially in inclement weather, such as snow/ice.

The flying pig cabin was perfect for our family. The cabin was spotless and you can’t beat the location. Downtown Sylva was a short 15 minute drive. The outdoor area and view were amazing and the beds were comfy! The drive up was easy and the host was responsive and accommodating. I will definitely be booking again!

5 out of 5 hooves!When we arrived with our 3 Little Pigs at the "When Pigs Fly" cabin, high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our weariness from the Florida drive melted away. Could this be real? A home so divine, so swine-tastic, it felt like a porcine paradise.The hosts outdid themselves with hidden flying piggies scattered throughout the property, like Disney's hidden Mickeys, but no crowd. Our middle piggy (the roast beef hater) found one on the mantel, while the little piggy with none spotted more near the firepit. Miss Piggy squealed over 6 winged piggies decorating the Christmas tree. It was an oinktastic treasure hunt!The roaring stone fireplace was perfect for cozy nights and Big Bad Wolf-proofing. An outdoor firepit on the hill added magic, with sunsets so stunning they rivaled Florida’s.Our Christmas feast on the twinkling back deck was unforgettable. Even Wilbur was impressed, though we didn’t mention the ham on the menu. The view and mountain air made everything taste better.From soft blankets (Piglet-approved) to cozy loft beds, the hosts thought of everything. The little piggies adored the upstairs, which felt far from their usual pigpen life. It was like home—but cooler, literally!"When Pigs Fly" is a fairytale come true. Big enough for pigs of all kinds (straw, sticks, or bricks), it’s the ultimate mountain retreat. To quote Miss Piggy, “Moi adores this place!”The only problem? All the way home, we went "Wah, Wah, Wah" because we didn’t want to leave.
