About this house rental
Nestled above Hwy 7 and 41 which is a perfect location for Minnetonka East Schools and shopping, this beautifully appointed home has a 2 story family room (built in 2017) with custom remote controlled blinds, white kitchen with grey and white granite counter tops with a hint of blue open to the main level. Deck is on the main level as well.
Master is on the main with 10' ceilings, and oversized shower. There is an office in the main level and upper level. Three bedrooms and a loft on upper level, master bedroom in main level, all custom blinds installed. Lower level has a gigantic family room/game room area and a bedroom.
We recently updated to fiber optic internet (400MB download speeds) and have a wifi 6 nest system through the house. Which would be prefect for working, 4K streaming and connecting multiple devices at the same time - 2/4/2022
Fun things to do:
Walkable
North coop restaurant has really good food like chicken and waffles, great brunch, cocktails and beer. It’s a 3 minute walk from the house. You could see it from the deck. There is a taco place right next to it called BB papi’s tacos that has some of the best tacos in town as well.
Downtown Excelsior
Checkout downtown excelsior for the shopping and dining scene. If you are into breweries we would recommend Excelsior brewing (hailed as one of Minnesota’s best breweries). Everything is walkable in downtown excelsior so you could walk from the brewery along Water street.
Some upscale restaurants include Coalition (American and best old fashions) and Yumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar.
Lakefront dining is best at lord fletchers or Maynard’s. These are iconic lake restaurants that can tend to get very busy in the weekends especially during the summer. Plan to make reservations ahead of time if summer.
If you’d like to rent a boat during the summer. Most marinas have boat rentals. We recommend the your boat club establishment. There’s two locations on lake Minnetonka: smiths bay or browns bay.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean and the location was great. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and great walking areas.

We stayed at the property with my family (two kids 2 and 5) and my parents for Thanksgiving. We had so much space and the place was easy to access and very clean. The host were super communicative. And for those moms out there, the best part was that my daughter left her favorite stuffy there and the host shipped the bunny back the next day. It meant a lot that they were so quick to return her bunny. I recommend this place!

We anticipate gathering with high school friends each year and were more than pleased to find and stay in this lovely Excelsior home. It's location was perfect for us with many places to explore around Lake Minnetonka, have lunch (we recommend Hazelwood Restaurant nearby in Tonka Bay) and enjoy an ice cream by the lake. And, it was so nice to have Kowalski's only a few minutes away to pick up a few groceries.
The house is lovely, spacious and certainly met all our needs with a well appointed kitchen, first floor master with a walk in shower and enough bedrooms for all 5 of us. We hope to return next year.
We had some issues with the AC when the outside temps reached the upper 90's, but our hosts were able to resolve that.

This is a nice home in a nice neighborhood but the property needs some additional work to make it what could be a really great property: new sheets and bedding; towels in each bedroom on arrival; need to have closet in the MBR accessible--ridiculous that you have the closet in that bedroom locked so that there is no closet to hang clothes; finish furnishing the place!; one basically 2 cup coffee pot for a 5 BR house--really?!
This could be a fantastic property but you need to decide you want this to be a better experience for your guests!
