This amazing ground floor, ocean front unit is not only convenient, but boasts a spectacular view and all the comforts of home. An quick an easy walk from the parking lot to the front door, this unit has the convenience of not having to take your luggage up the elevator and you can walk out your lanai doors 25 steps to the waters edge.

Attentive host, fantastic location that we have been to multiple times now. Incredibly well stocked unit left nothing to be desired accommodation wise. Decor and furniture is not the best for young children so keep that in mind when booking. Fantastic all around; we will be back!

It was perfect to be able to stay on the ground floor and walk out our door to the beach! The condo was clean had everything we needed. Would stay there again.

We have stayed at The Mahana before, and I love this location. Just on the other side of the grassy area is the beach where you can listen to the waves, spot some sea turtles, enjoy a fantastic sunset and walk to Duke's for lunch or dinner. This is not a swimming beach but walk a short distance and you can swim and snorkel. I always think it's best to list the pros and cons of our stays.
PROS: Location - Ground floor means stepping out and walking a short distance to the stairs that lead to the beach. Parking is easy and it was nice not to have to take stairs or an elevator. Sitting on the patio, drinking coffee in the morning or sipping wine at night while watching the sunset, resets the soul.
Check-In - Although we didn't get the code to get in until we were about 40 minutes from our destination, it was very easy to check-in.
Amenities - Beach gear, snorkeling gear, and other items were all provided. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and coffee maker (Kuerig and regular).
CONS: Cleanliness and Condition of Unit - The floor was dirty, there was a poorly patched hole in the wall, the sliding glass door was broken at the bottom and hard to push open, the closet door by the washing machine was just about impossible to open and I know we were in a tropical environment and on the ground floor, but yeah... the bugs. We didn't leave food out. We cleaned our dishes. And the little cockroaches still want to roam. I know it's hard to control bugs in a tropical environment, but I think I would prefer an upper unit just because of this.
Construction - Not that big of a deal. They are doing construction on several units so you get to hear the noise. It didn't full distract from the beauty of Maui, but it's always good to know beforehand when these things are going on.
Amenities (a pro and a con) - Many things were provided but the basics like soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion were not. Luckily, we brought our own... but most places we stay at least provide soap and shampoo.
Again, I love The Mahana and the location. Would I want to stay at this particular unit again? Honestly, probably not. But with a little fix up and better attention to cleaning detail and this could be a prime vacation spot. We still have a fantastic time!
