Everything was as described. Not much for cooking utensils, as described. Didn’t matter to me I eat out

We liked the one story little duplex. It was clean, fresh, and nicely decorated. The area around the property had some run down houses.

Very accommodating hosts. House is spacious and area is quiet. Both beds very comfortable and nice to have 3 TVs in the house + small office.

The duplex is in a run down neighborhood. The house next door is abandoned. The couch is uncomfortable and the only seating area for meals are barstools. The blinds are not very helpful in keeping the light out so bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep. After a week of being there the toilet was leaking and not flushing. Waited two days before contacting the owner. The first attempt at fixing the issue was on a Wednesday and I had to be out of the unit for 2.5 hours after working a 10 hour shift and it still wasn’t fixed. I was accused of flushing a tampon. Which I didn’t. I woke up in the morning to a text message saying I had to find a new place to rent and I would get a refund for the remainder of my stay through VRBO! There wasn’t any kind of offer to find me a hotel room or any kind of compensation for this inconvenience. And I’m here as a traveler for work. The plumber or whoever spent most of my day off Thursday trying to fix the issue only to turn around and say it was the septic tank that had not been cleaned out in ages. They had to return on Friday to attempt to clean everything out. I received a message at work saying don’t come to the place until after 5pm due to the smell. When I finally arrived the dirty towels that were used to clean up the floor of dirty toilet water and backed up septic tank waste were laying in the bathtub. Oh and the toilet was not cleaned. And then had the nerve to text advising me I got a 5 star review and they expected the same!
