About this villa rental
Casa Allison is a single story 3 bedroom home 3 1/2 bath home, nestled in a jungle lot near the end of a cul-de-sac. From the base of the property there is a winding path through the pristine forest to the entrance of North Pelada beach (about a five minute walk). Playa Pelada is a picturesque white sand beach with tide pools and lava fields.
From the entrance to the house you can also follow the dead end road to the Boca overlook and onwards down a footpath to access either Playa Pelada or Boca Nosara. At low tide you can cross the river and arrive on Playa Nosara, a black sand beach where only local fisherman and a handful of surfers can be seen. Playas Nosara and Ostional are rich, protected area of Costa Rica's Pacific coastline. Their black sands and deserted ocean stretch as far as you can see, culminating in the turtle nesting grounds of Ostional. Inland along this stretch is the SIBU reserve, an enormous parcel of protected jungle.
You can hear the waves crashing in Pelada from the home's terrace which has a gorgeous salt water infinity pool overlooking pristine jungle. The central living space has a set of folding doors which can be fully opened to allow the kitchen and living space to be in the open air, but under cover.
Wifi, electricity and weekly maid service are included in your rental, as well as trash and recycling pick up at the end of the driveway. Because of our secluded location, we recommend renting a vehicle of some kind--ATV, car, or golf cart--to get you to the grocery stores or into Guiones. The Lagarta Lodge is an easy walk on a footpath through the forest, and Il Pepperoni and La Luna are about a 15 minutes' walk by the road into lower Pelada.
Casa Allison abuts a five acre parcel of pristine, protected jungle before it merges with the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. The few neighbors we have are locals; for this reason we are asking our tenants to be respectful of the quiet in this special location. For those who prefer loud music and raucous gatherings, we would recommend a stay in Guiones. But for those who would rather avoid the hustle and bustle of Guiones altogether, or just not have it come home with them after a day of surfing, this location is ideal.

We had a great stay at Casa Allison. Allison was great with communication and accommodating us on a booking mistake. It was HOT when we were there and the AC in the bedrooms worked very well. The kids (5 & 8) loved the pool, we also had a family of 14 monkeys on our final 3 days hanging out in the trees on the property, which was so fun to watch! Short walk (5-8 min) through the forest to the beach for sunset was great as well. The dirt roads in Nosara are no joke, part of the charm but be prepared for some “off road” driving! We’d for sure come back!

We love this house. From the front it appears to be a simple ranch house, nothing exciting. Walk into the house and you know you are somewhere special. You enter the open concept living room and kitchen. A huge sofa group and large tv are complimented by a magnificent kitchen with a huge island and seating. The kitchen has everything that could possibly be needed, even a vitamin for smoothies. Everything was top notch, not some mix and match leftover sets.
To the left is the master suite with a huge closet area of shelves, hanging and drawers. The king bed is firmer than we usually like but we slept really well. The master bathroom was just as spectacular. Double sinks on a beautiful marble countertop and an open air shower inside. There is also an outdoor shower and tub., perfect for rinsing from the ocean or showering off before getting in the pool. Opposite the master suite are a smaller suite with a king bed and shower adjacent to a bedroom with twin beds and a shower in the bathroom. There was always lots of hot water for showering. Lots of bathroom and beach towels. The washer and dryer were new
The main wall of the living room has accordion doors that brings the outside in. There are also a set of screen doors to keep out the bugs, which we needed after a few rainy days. But overall the bugs were not a problem.
The patio is where we hung out mostly. A dining table for 6 and 2 more couches that were under cover of the roof made an outside living space even in the rain. The large infinity pool is flanked by the continued side patios with 2 reclining lounge chairs on each side. The pool is 5 feet deep and has an excellent filtering system so there was rarely more than a few leaves in it. The pool had sun all day long that started filtering through trees around 3 pm.
There are multiple beaches in walking distance on trails and lots of restaurants by car in -10-15 minutes. Don’t miss LaLuna at sunset it’s spectacular, our food was prepared perfectly.
What would we change ? Absolutely nothing. It was comfortable with 2 or 4 people. 6 would even be fine.

We loved our stay at casa de allison:-) we had our four teenage children with us. The pool was the most beautiful pool I’ve ever swam in. Super clean and nice. Allison was great!! We loved the remote location for the adults but the kids would have liked to have had more autonomy. Costa Rica has our hearts!

Beautiful maintained indoor/outdoor home, super comfortable for our family of 4. Short walk through woods to a sparsely populated beach. Spectacular sunsets a 2 min walk around the corner. Super close to Playa Pelada restaurants and shops. Easy drive to Guiones. Fantastic pool area with shaded outdoor lounge and dining areas. A special spot.
