About this house rental
Beautifully renovated Florida cracker style home located in one of downtown Stuart's coveted historical neighborhoods. Decorated with coastal decor, this 1914 sq ft home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeps up to 8 people. Hang out in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch, the bistro set on the private patio or the backyard BBQ, pool and hot tub. Book the guest house as well and sleep up to 12 people. Short stroll into downtown Stuart, Coastal Living Magazine's Happiest Seaside Town.
This beautiful, historic home has been taken down to the studs, completely redesigned and rebuilt with completion in June of 2020 with no detail overlooked. New luxury vinyl wood-look floors throughout. Master bedroom has en suite with double sinks and walk-in closet, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and 3rd bedroom has twin over full bunk with twin trundle. Huge kitchen is a chef's delight with new white cabinets, quartz counter tops and stainless appliances including a commercial 6 burner stove with double ovens, griddle and broiler. Dining room has 8 ft table and window bench for large family gatherings. Living room is furnished with leather sofa, loveseat and recliner and has a 65 inch TV. Home has internet/cable TV and there are also a handful of puzzles, books and games, including an antique chess table so you won't get bored on rainy days. Tropical landscaping including a fun "jungle" area with hidden treasures the kids will love. Laundry room has new large capacity washer and dryer.
You will have the house to yourself, other than the laundry room, which has a separate lock and is shared with the guest house. Also shared with the guest house are the pool and hot tub area and his and hers bikes.

I booked this property back in September in a rush because we knew we were going for Christmas and our other booking had been cancelled due to double booking. I admittedly did not read most of the description. When I learned it was a non- refundable booking I worried about what could go wrong for the next 3 months! Thankfully nothing did! We made it to Stuart on Christmas day and temps were unusually low ( 50 degrees). With that said we showed up at the property which was an adorable cottage located on a street lined with Key West like waterfront homes. The home was clean and inviting with everything we needed. I would say the only two things we were disappointed about was the proximity to the guest house renters ( this was on the booking but we weren’t sure exactly how close they would be) One renter was unfriendly and make it awkward to be in the pool area at the same time so we just stayed inside and avoided her. Also the fact that the pool and jacuzzi were freezing cold the entire trip. There were efforts to make repairs to the heater while we we were there but by the time that happened it was New Year’s Eve and we were leaving the next morning, So my kids went in the pool a couple of times during the week, my husband used it as a cold plunge after his workouts and we never utilized the jacuzzi. Other than that the house itself was great, and the hosts Peter and Ellen were friendly and accommodating. Location would probably be the best thing about this property, you can walk downtown in around 8 minutes, walk to marinas, coffee, restaurants. All and all it was a good stay!
