Nothing

The beach is a short walking distance from the apartment, it is a long narrow beach, really pretty. After that we usually enjoyed the pool, it was clean and nice, kid friendly. The apartment also has a restaurant with lovely food. And it is surrounded by shops and things to do, we did the small train ride around the beach and the CretAquarium. You can also rent a car or motorcycle, quad bike or a boat. You can also visit Heraklion. Our host and his family was really friendly and welcoming. We had a great time.

We should have stayed longer... :) Next time we might visit more of the sights around Gouves, and Heraklion. Also Heraklion airport was nice, it is located next to the sea.

Very close to the sandy beach, supermarket and lots of restaurants. Nice to have a pool, though I didn't use. The apartment had all the basics I needed.

There was no kitchen cleaning stuff. The bed was very hard, and had to pay extra for AC - but I thought that was not too bad as it is important that people value something like that, keeping windows open was just about cool enough, during a very hot spell.
