About this cabin rental
Nestled on the side of a mountain between the Pintleer Wilderness area and Georgetown Lake Montana, this cozy 2-bedroom Cabin is located 6 miles from Phillipsburg, MT. The Cabin has 2 Bedrooms, 2 baths, a large Loft area and a fully equipped kitchen plus great room. Outside you will find a large deck with beautiful mountain views which overlooks a firepit with benches. It is a 20-minute drive to Discovery Ski Basin which offers 4 season activities. Georgetown Lake is only a 20 min drive for boating, fishing and hiking in the summer and cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing in the winter. Don’t forget to make your reservations to go Sapphire Mining at Gem Mountain.
The Historic Mining Town of Phillipsburg Montana is a short 10 min drive away. Phillipsburg offers an assortment of downtown events. You will find many shops and restaurants such as the Doe Brothers restaurant and the famous Sweet Palace candy store along with an historic theater for plays. A 20-minute drive up the mountain behind Phillipsburg takes you to the old deserted mining town of Granite where in the summer you can attend the at night Ghost Walk of the old town. A 4-wheel drive or ATV’s and hiking is encouraged.
This Cozy Cabin could be your retreat from the world, a family getaway, or a staging area for year-round Montana outdoor activities. The cabin offers free internet, and frequent visits by our wildlife friends such as deer and Moose. Plenty of parking for vehicles with off road equipment trailers that includes a wide turn around area. Winter time access should be by an SUV or 4-wheel drive. Cabin can comfortably support 4 adults and 4 children.
If you would like your your fridge pre-stocked we can do that for you for a small fee. We have access to a personal shopper. she is also willing to supply home made meals.

Our family of 6 had a great time staying here. We enjoyed skiing and ice fishing during the day, cards and movies in the evenings.

It was a gorgeous area. Everything you needed in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Comfortable and inviting. We came up for ice fishing and it was in the perfect area to do just that.

This property is very cool and the space has so much potential. The owner/manager was receptive and it was nice having coffee provided.
However, I don't think there is much communication between the owner and property manager. Although we received the check-in instructions/manual and were able to get in, i don't think they had been expecting us. The house was already completely winterized and the lines were completely blown out. Because of this, the toilets were also dirty/moldy from lack of water. We had to call to ask where the mech room and ensure they were okay with us turning everything back on (which meant waiting for the hot water heater to fill and heat). There was perhaps the worst fly infestation I've ever seen. fortunately, they were very slow moving because it was 40 degrees when we got into the house. nevertheless, there were more dead flies all over the entire place than I have ever seen.
Overall, it is a cool cabin. I just don't think they should have been renting it out at that time and perhaps they didn't realize they were as it was not ready for us.
