Summary:
Escape to the Shenandoah River beauty at Common Ground! This charming 2-bedroom cabin invites you to unwind in rustic elegance. Sip your morning coffee overlooking the river or melt away stress in the hot tub under the stars. With 2 full bathrooms, a charcoal grill and cozy vibes throughout, it’s the ideal spot to recharge. Stay connected with DIRECTV and WiFi or venture out to the hiking trails/ river adventures, Common Ground offers many ways to savor the Shenandoah Valley!
The Space:
Kitchen is full kitchen with place settings silverware and cooking pots/pans etc. If you need a special dish/container for a special meal, bring it. All water is potable but many guests bring bottled water.
We have a great firepit; wood on the premises may be used; many guests buy the wood bundles at the local convenience store to make they have dry wood available.
Grill is charcoal; please bring your own briquets.
Our hot tub is available all year and maintained weekly; if the tub becomes inoperable during your stay, refunds are not provided.
We have two motion activated cameras. One motion-activated camera is focused on the driveway area and front door. The second motion-activated camera is focused on the rear wooded area. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the cabin.
Sorry, we do not offer pack-n-plays or cribs.
The Neighborhood:
Located on 64 acres with 1000 feet of river, this cabin allows you hike, visit the river and enjoy serenity.
Getting Around:
Driving to the cabin is easy but there is no public transportation.

There is a pet fee; it will be added to your booking fee. For pet fee questions, please contact our property manager, Brittany Montgomery through the AIRBNB app.

Best cabin ever. So quiet. Great views from the front porch and a hot tub to boot. I pan on going back multiple times.

The cabin is in a very nice spot, with a great view of the river. It is very close to several river outfitters and not too far from town. It is off of a dirt road, but it is well maintained. The cabin was quite dirty when we arrived. There was clearly a dog with long blonde fur in the cabin previously as there was dog hair everywhere, in addition to dust/dirt on the floor and cobwebs. It seemed like the cleaning crew did not vacuum (maybe they swept?). The master bath had hair in the drain and debris on the wall. The master bedroom floor also buckled and seemed like it had possibly suffered past water damage. In the kitchen, there was a drawer with mouse droppings. The appliances were clean and in good working order. With a little bit of extra TLC, this could really be a great spot. The TV in the main room worked fine. We didn't try the others.
