This stately 3000 sq ft home is perfect for a large group or family. Located on a tree lined avenue, steps from Washburn's Main Street and Lake Superior. Enjoy Bayfield County, which has year round appeal for the outdoor adventurist, or stay in and relax by the fire. House has high ceilings, original wood floors and trim. Built in 1912 by a prominent lumber baron, the home has been well cared for and updated with a newly remodeled kitchen. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. House is situated on a double lot with a two stall garage. Fenced in backyard has a deck, grill, fire pit and volleyball net. Your well behaved dog is welcome for a $60 fee. Neighborhood playground, tennis and pickleball courts just blocks away. In summer, visit the Farmer's Market and enjoy Music In The Park on Wednesdays. The house is elegant enough for a romantic weekend, yet still comfortable and inviting for families and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Washburn was recently named one of the best places for biking in the country! Bring your bike, or rent one at Washburn Hardware and Sports. Washburn Marina is .5 miles away and is a certified Clean Marina. Pictures don’t do this home justice! It’s beautiful inside and out! We unfortunately didn’t have time for a fire, but did get to take advantage of the nice weather and sit out on the deck. Homeowner was easy to talk to and replied promptly. Only thing that could be considered kind of negative is that there isn’t any air conditioning downstairs but all bedrooms have a unit of some kind. Hoping to come back next summer!

Very comfortable, very homey! We would have liked to have facial tissues and more toilet paper in the bathrooms. The kitchen was lacking napkins, salt and a wire whisk. There was no hot water when we arrived. We appreciated that the owners responded immediately when we contacted them about it. We would most likely try to stay there again, the next time we are in the area.
