This spacious three bedroom getaway is a perfect home away from home. Nestled in the Western North Carolina Mountains, the property borders the Nantahala National Forest and is just minutes from the back country trails at Standing Indian and multiple Appalachian Trail access points.
Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea while swinging on the front porch. Create a delicious meal in a fully-equipped kitchen or barbeque on the back deck. Soak in a large tub after a vigorous hike on one of many nearby trails. Warm yourself by a cozy fire while relaxing on a comfortable couch. Or take in the view of the Nantahala Mountains from the spacious sunroom.
Both bedrooms upstairs can be arranged as one king bed or two twin beds. There is an additional trundle bed (2 twins) in upstairs lounge area.
Come explore the beautiful scenic by-ways, hike and bike numerous trails of all abilities, meander into a neighboring small mountain town (Franklin, NC/Hayesville, NC) for local festivals and breweries. Within minutes of Standing Indian, this house is ideal for those seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while resting in a private and comfortable setting. With a large fenced-in backyard, this house is suitable for dogs.
Please note that while this home does not receive cell service, we do have satellite internet as well as a land line. Internet service may not be conducive for working online.

Beautiful house and property in a great location. Very close to some great hikes, we visited the farm across the street everyday to see the animals which my young daughter loved. Truly relaxing get away and the house met all our needs and beyond. Highly recommend. I hope to come back again some day.

We had another wonderful stay - our 4th. The rooms in the house are all spacious and comfortable. This year - and I don't know why I didn't do this sooner - I had my morning coffee on the front porch. Because of all the trees surrounding the property, the porch was cool even though it was a very hot July weekend. I alsays feel so rested and decompressed when I stay.
