Iris-Fireweed Meadows Vacation Rental

When traveling Wifey and I love to immerse ourselves in the area we are visiting. Anchor Point is a great location about a 15 minute drive outside of Homer. We loved this area because you have both the beach and ocean but also very challenging hiking paths. The town of Homer is a fun place with outstanding dining options and some of the best fishing charters on the planet. The house itself was in a great location next to a 9 hole golf (and frisbee golf) course. It was fun strolling the fairways looking for wildlife. The bed was super comfortable and deck off the second floor was cool for checking out the area. The amenities were beyond compare. Props to Emmitt for arranging the return of a bag we accidentally left behind. You are a good man, sir. Don’t scroll past this one. BOOK IT !!!!

My wife and I stayed at this property to celebrate our 6th anniversary and my return from deployment. The location was so great! It’s a nice quiet location out of the way of others traveling through on the highway. The cabin itself has a gas range and oven, a fridge and freezer, as well as plates, pots and pans. We cooked a meal our first night, and the host will tell you that The Warehouse which is a 2 minute drive from the property is a good place to get groceries, but we found that taking the 20 minute trip into Homer to stop at the Safeway was much better. The property itself was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only curtains or shades are in the bedroom, so sleep masks were provided. All in all, this was a great location, and the check in/out process required no effort whatsoever. If I ever take another trip to Homer, I’ll strongly consider this property again.
