Only negative is that it is on a busy street. But still very quiet. Back yard more than compensates for the street. It is a "duplex", but was never bothered by neighbors.Great location.Other than having wrong wi-fi info and entry info on checkin, everything was perfect.

Host was accommodating with having thanksgiving dishes and glasses as we were having dinner there for the holiday. We could’ve used more toilet paper.
8.0 / 10.0
Great communication from the hostess including some wonderful restaurant suggestions. We made reservations at the two she recommended and they were wonderful. Bed was comfortable. Location was not exactly what we expected. Along a busy road but it was walkable into town to get food/coffee.

What a cozy home and a great location. The backyard is amazingly beautiful, peaceful and green. We even made friends with a family Of ducks and iguanas while relaxing in the back. The house was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The host was very responsive. The house is centrally located to Miami and boca raton. So many great restaurants around the house including jerk machine, the Vodoo lounge, Las Vegas Cuban cuisine, little Cuban cafe, and little Havana. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a very nice stay. The home was very comfortable and relaxing. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Fort Lauderdale.

Long Weekend Trip to attend the Tortuga Music Festival. Condo was a 12-minute Uber ride to the concert venue on F.L. Beach so if you are looking for beachside, this may not be for you. But, if you are looking to get away and explore this beautiful city (and the beach area too) this is a great spot. Condo is on the Tarpon River and close to Los Olas Blvd shopping and dining mecca and the F.L. Riverwalk. Never waited more than 5 minutes to catch an Uber. Condo was very clean. King size bed very comfortable with lots of storage for your things if you are staying more than a few days and wish to unpack. With all the restaurants around, no need for cooking, but if you do so, kitchen had everything you needed. Publix close by for anything additional. Bathroom clean, spacious shower. Clean towels provided and YES, hot water was bountiful. AC worked well keeping the condo cool. I listed amenities at a 4 rather than 5 only that there was no washer/dryer in the unit, but you may have had access. (For me a big deal as I am on vacation and laundry can wait.) Not sure of lake view but a beautiful river view with a dock and Adirondack chairs perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Carport (not garage) parking provided which was great as we did rent a car. Condo certainly big enough for 2 couples or family of 4. And felt very safe staying here. Met owner as we were checking out, extremely pleasant and happy to hear we enjoyed our stay.

It was a good place to stay while we were waiting to go on a cruise. The manager/host was very quick to answer our questions on our first day there, but the second day the communication was not as good when I had questions before we left but maybe something kept her from answering until after we left. The host was eager to make sure we had the item we asked for and kept stressing that if we needed anything just ask as she wanted to make sure we were taken care of. The price was also very good.

We really enjoyed the stay and recommend it to anyone else coming as long as it’s just 3 people. Property was as advertised and there’s plenty of wildlife right outside the back door. I would definitely come stay again. It is not walking distance unless you’re comfortable walking 30 minutes to anything so you will need a rental car or Uber everywhere like my friend and I did. The host was pleasant through messages. Thanks for letting us stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the riverside garden where we watched the wildlife, iguanas, ducks, parrots and more. The home is fairly close to downtown shops etc but a car is still needed.
Our difficulty with entry was the result of a mistake that was corrected. Communication was prompt.

We enjoyed the proximity to a multitude of activities. Met our needs for our month long stay. Worked remote successfully. Had a few minor issues that were addressed quickly. We would definitely consider staying again.

After reading all the wonderful reviews on this property, I booked it for myself and my 87 year old mother. Upon arrival, we could not get hot water in the kitchen or the bathroom sink Despite letting them run for 10 minutes. We contacted VRBO and I received a response from one of the co-managers that the unit did not come with hot water. This, of course, sent us into a bit of a tailspin. After working with VRBO, the owner met me at the unit later in day and we had hot water. However, the next morning, despite having hot water in the kitchen, we could only get lukewarm in the bathroom and shower. My only assumption is that there was one hot water tank shared between two units, and whoever got to it first got the hot water. The next day, our Internet and cable went out, which wouldn’t be a huge deal, except for my mother became very ill and was home the whole time. When I went to check on her during the day, the unit was 78°. The thermostat is run through the Internet, and I took pictures showing that nothing was working, sent to owner, and owner finally responded that she was sending an electrician and I needed to meet him at the home . The electrician showed up just as we were leaving for my aunts 80th birthday party, and I told him that he and the owner would have to deal with the situation. She called the people in the unit next to us, they said they had Internet, so she decided we had Internet. I sent photo evidence we did not and had no air and nothing was done to fix

Husband and I needed a place to stay before we left on our cruise and this place was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and in a good location. As other reviews have said it's on a busier street but the sound wasn't really bothersome. If you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. The beds were comfy and all your necessities were there plus some extra. The dock on the river was our favorite and we had a morning manatee swim by both days! It was an easy 2 mile walk to Las olas Blvd and we took advantage. Try the taco truck a couple of blocks up across from Kwik stop for sure. If you're looking for a safe, comfortable, clean place this is it.

It's an older duplex but was very comfortable. And is well located for Ft Lauderdale and freeways. Would stay again.

While the external appearance is somewhat deceptive, this house has modern updates throughout! It was perfect for a weekend getaway and is situated in an ideal location. Only concern was that it’s off a busy street but the house was pretty quiet in spite of..

Perfect place for what we needed. Came into town to see a football game and spend a day in Ft. Lauderdale. We were cramped for time but because it’s so close to everything it was not a problem. Six minutes from the airport. We walked to Los Olas Blvd, got on and off the water taxi all day then went on the jungle queen dinner cruise at night. Took an Uber the football game. Again, short driving distance. Thank you so much for sharing your clean comfortable home with us!

I chose this VRBO because of the proximity to Las Olas and the airport and of course the beautiful views. I was not disappointed in-between running around South Florida and watching my daughter graduate FIU the property was a perfect respite and place to recharge. The beauty and privacy made me forget that the property is close to a busy street. Thank you for sharing your Oasis with us. We'll be back next year and you'll be the first property I look at. Besos.

Centrally located to everything. Very clean and nice bedding. On a busier road so traffic in the early, early morning can be a little loud. This is a shared unit and shared backyard. Backyard was great being on the canal and plenty of seating to relax. Great if your going down to explore Ft. Lauderdale but would t recommend if your looking for a place just to stay and relax at. It was perfect for what we needed for a few days!! Will definitely stay again!

Stayed for three days in February and had a great time. House is actually two units and we were not bothered by the other other guests next door. The property backs onto a small canal my hat has fish. It is located on a busy street but we did not hear any traffic noise inside the unit. Everything was clean and looked nice. There were a lot of rules posted as mentioned in other reviews but it is mainly a list of items included in the unit and prices charged if they go missing. The thermostat is nest brand that has the temperature controlled by turning a ring on the perimeter of the control. A previous reviewer couldn’t figure it out but it worked perfectly. The owner met us there and gave a tour of everything and seemed keen to make sure we were happy with everything. The unit is a few minutes drive from downtown and the airport and I would recommend staying here.

The property was good but very sparce, particularly in the kitchen. There needs to be more cutlery and utensils. The location was fine but we were surprised that it was on a main road and also we were not expecting there to be a shared garden. It was quite awkward to relax in the garden. The furniture was very comfortable and overall it was clean. However we moved some furniture a little and it clearly hadn’t been cleaned underneath for some time which is surprising considering it is raised off the floor. The unit also had an unpleasant smell which you notice when you first enter. In summary, although I have noted a few issues it was a pleasant stay and communication with the owner was good.

The pictures are right on. Nice comfortable place. The backyard is very relaxing. Fit my needs just fine. We were there for a fishing trip and were able to put the boat in the carport. That was a bonus for me. Little things could be changed but over all a nice place to stay.

We were pleasantly surprised that we had a relaxing oasis in the back of the house! So peaceful sitting on the dock overlooking the canal. We even made a few friends with the wildlife (ducks/iguana). The property is conveniently located to nearby restaurants & shopping. Inside the house it was spacious & comfortable with all the amenities. We would definitely stay here again...loved it!

We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise. The home is very clean and updated with nice comfortable furniture and a comfy bed. The backyard area is really the highlight with the water and nice chairs to sit and relax. The home is a duplex and so the backyard area is shared. This was not known to me beforehand and wasn't an issue since I was traveling with my husband, but if I were alone, I would have wanted to know that. Also, there is a washer and dryer, but it is outside of the unit and locked. So if you want to do laundry, that is something to note. It is on a busy street but that didn't bother us. Ask for pictures of the front of the house and the street if you are concerned. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with responsive hosts and I would stay again.

Enjoyed the 2 day stay and sitting on the river. Close to busy road but really didn't notice much noise. Might suggest a hide-a-bed in the living room rather than just a couch. Would definitely stay here again.

I have never stayed at a VRBO property that did not provide bathroom wash cloths or kitchen dish towels.. just paper towels. Reminder to bring your own. Couch is not comfortable at all

Great place to stay near downtown Riverwalk. 15 minute walk and your there, which is great since parking is somewhat expensive downtown. Very relaxing in back yard, didn't get a chance to fish but they were definitely active in canal. Great communication between host.

I have rented through VRBO for over 10 years. I have always been rated a 5 star renter. I have never rated a property lower than 4 stars. I am not a complainer. But this property should be considered an embarrassment by VRBO.
There were plenty of “house rules”, on the listing and posted not one place, not 2 places but 3 places in the “villa”. But there was absolutely no directions; which side of the house we had rented, where to park, how to open and lock the keyless entries, instructions for the heating/cooling system, where the washer and dryer were and how to access them…
Upon arrival there was an odor that immediately greeted you. At first I thought it was smoke ( for which there is a house rule and penalty) but as our time went on we questioned whether it was chemical or fireplace odor. The other issue was arriving to find the thermostat registering 78° and no instruction as to how to operate the system. The response when the owner responded 1+ hour later, was to tell me there was no odor in the home. It was clear what type of communication we were going to have. We avoided contacting her after that.
During our 2nd week at the “villa” we returned, close to 10 pm, after a full day in southern Florida, to find 10 gallons of water bottles outside of our door. Upon entry we found that there was no working water, anywhere, including inability to flush the toilet. No communication from the owner, no idea why we had no working water and no idea how long we were to tolerate this situation. Response from owner was not enlightening. Awoke the next morning to find no change in the situation and no update from owner. We left the villa for the day, unshowdered. The update we finally received was to expect water in “several” hours from about 9:30am. We were already gone for our day. When questioned about reimbursement for the inconvenience we were told we were “people trying to take advantage” and she wanted to know how this would affect her review.

Was very surprised to find out the property was a duplex and we were sharing the back yard & washer/dryer. The place was clean & secure. The street was very busy & noisy. A hospital close by lots of sirens. The host was very nice and responsive to any issue.

This property is a nice two bedroom unit convenient to Fort Lauderdale's seaside promenade. The street location is a bit busy. Having the back patio area canal side is a plus. Katia was helpfuladdressing questions that we had.

Accessing the property was very difficult as the digital locks were hard for us to use. There was no information as to how to close the second digital lock so much time was lost trying to secure for exiting the home. The drain to the shower was plugged and we were obligated to be in the home for it to be repaired; so we lost appointments waiting for help to arrive. The property was spotless and cared for by a lovely housekeeper; The 41/2 foot ( I have photos inguanas were unexpected and seeing one exit the tree on the canal was like Nat'n Geographic. The 23 rules as to proper conduct were too many. So that's it
