Our gardens are a cherished part of Dragonwood, and you may see our team members diligently working or watering to ensure they remain vibrant and beautiful.

Quite remote location on Manhanock Pond, in Parkman Maine. Our Bunk house and our Main house share 18 acres of land and 1/4 mile of waterfront. Manhanock and Harlow Ponds are managed as one body of water. Fish pass freely under a bridge on the causeway that separates the ponds. The ponds provide a popular fishery for boat anglers and for shore anglers from the causeway. The ponds are open to ice fishing. The town of Parkman is in the center of Maine, with 843 residents. We have one local store, but don’t worry the surrounding towns have plenty to offer.

Located just 40 minutes from Greenville and 2.5 hours from Acadia National Park, our property provides easy access to both local amenities and popular attractions. After a day of exploring the bustling beauty of Acadia, guests can return to the peaceful quiet of the Maine woods at Dragonwood.

Parkman is small town with great scenery. You can travel roads both paved and dirt roads in most any vehicle.

We recently stayed here for a family retreat with 20 people, ranging from adults to teenagers, kids, and even infants. The house exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and offers activities for all ages. The kids especially loved the ninja challenge course, while we all enjoyed the canoeing and kayaking—there were more than enough kayaks for everyone! Carrie was fantastic, regularly checking in to see if we needed anything and always responding quickly to any questions. Honestly, the place had everything we needed, so there was little to ask for. A special highlight was meeting the owner, who has a helicopter on the property. He generously spent over 40 minutes with us, showing the helicopter and explaining its workings in detail. On our last day, he even flew it so the kids could watch the takeoff, which made the stay even more memorable! This place is perfect for large family gatherings, and we’d definitely love to stay here again.
