About this lodge

♡Looking to escape the hustle? Wanna chill out with friends or family for a weekend? Experience making tasty s'mores at the bonfire with your kids. Watch as they put their screens down, hunt for frogs & get back to life. Grab lunch at the yellow picnic tables on the huge dock. Toss the volleyball around in the sand court, whip together a game with your buddies! Listen to the roaring motors of boats zooming through the channel. Grab a bevy! Chill out by the campfire after a fun day in the sun. Gaze at the countless stars from a Muskoka chair at your fire pit in the front yard. Your tranquil island getaway awaits you. A charming waterfront space that is ready for your stay♡

Please read the entire description. It will help set expectations. Or at LEAST read the big bullet points ;)

● We live on-site with 2 guardian dogs (a maremma sheepdog & a maremma/border collie). They will more than likely make their way over for a quick visit during your stay. They're well-trained & very friendly.
● Bring water to drink (the water here is from a well; it's fine for showering & doing dishes).
● Located on an island. Access is by drive-on ferry. Getting on costs $10/vehicle but leaving the island is free. There are only houses on the island so please plan your trip accordingly. Be sure to bring all your groceries with you!

Very nice area for cycling, mix of road and gravel. No worries about the ferry, even in rainy condition. The set up is very nice, large deck on the river, perfect for a large group !

We had a big group of 14 people and booked this property on Howe Island. The location was great. It was quite, remote and peaceful, just what we were looking for. The hosts, Courtney and Chris along with their kids were very hospitable and did a great job of hosting us. Would definitely consider this place again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Courtney was spot-on when she described the property in her listing. This place was PERFECT for the weekend my friends and I had planned. Unbelievable sunsets over the St. Lawrence from their HUGE entertainment deck. We were able to enjoy a campfire each night that was tended to by the property managers. The full-size sand volleyball court provided entertainment for hours. 2 full kitchens and BBQs allowed our group to cook for 12 people with no delays. I could go on and on. If you are looking for off-grid, stunning views, secluded property for groups large or small, look no further than right here. Will definitely be going back over the coming years
