About this house rental
This rustic, spacious home has all you need to have a wonderful time in a simple setting. 5 bedroom (1 walkthrough), 3 and a half bath house just off the Broad River. House sits on an acre lot with beautiful views of Habersham and Broad River. The Broad River bridge boat landing and fishing pier are very close. Private deep-water dock with over 8 feet of water at low tide. Lots of space for families and friends, and tons of great fishing, swimming, and kayaking all around. House sleeps 13 comfortably with brand new Lucid mattresses in every room (3 Kings, 3 Queens, Twin XL, and 2 queen air mattresses). Also, high speed Wi-Fi throughout the house equipped with smart TVs in most rooms. There is a huge yard for activities and a nice screened in porch to relax and watch the sunset and see the flyovers.

Our host Pat was great & worked with us allowing us to have an early check-in. My family loved sitting on the back porch & watching the sunset.The house is closely located to Paris Island recruit depot, which was perfect for my family.The first floor of the house was always a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately the second floor, where most of the bedrooms are located got very hot during the day and did not cool down until after midnight. It made sleeping very challenging.

The house is large, albeit with a bit of a strange layout. We expected this based on communications with the host and were able to make it work as this was a family gathering. Pros: EXTREMELY comfortable beds, plenty of space in common areas, 3.5 bathrooms. Communication was quick and clear, and check in and check out process were seamless. House was also exceptionally clean!!Comments: Furniture in common spaces was a bit dated, but still quite functional and in good repair. The house is also older, which means that some spaces (downstairs half bath for example) are a little tight on space/not much in the way of storage or sink space. The house does have an odd layout as previously mentioned, but it was workable for our group. The only thing that was slightly inconvenient was that three of the bathrooms are only accessible through a bedroom, so with 11 people staying somebody was cutting through someone else’s bedroom at certain times. Only other mention is the sheer number of gnats, but based on location this is unavoidable. Just gotta make sure to bring plenty of big spray next time! Overall this was a very pleasant and comfortable stay!

Hate to leave a non 5* review.
Upon arriving I messaged what I assume is the owner. I asked for the back porch to be cleaned so we could use it. Pollen issues. In which she said well it’s SC coast this time of year, it’s always rough. But contacted cleaners and asked them to blow it off. I told her it wasn’t a blow situation. It was mop and wipe. She said they would be by lunch on Saturday. They never came.
Given the per night fee, it would suggest an upscale experience. To that one of couches should be replaced. Immediately. I have pics.
For that upscale suggestion given cost per night- they should get some decent outdoor porch furniture. I have pics. Not saying anyone has to buy top end stuff. What they have is non functional.
In reading reviews prior to final decision I kept seeing that it was comfortable for 10+ people. I get that it’s possible. More so just warning for like 6 guys, it’s that’s about as much as it can take. Meaning for families that are siblings, etc shared beds that works. But for a handful of guys, you’re going to run out of beds.
It’s a beautiful setting there. 10-15 mins from town which was great on our end. We used the recommended boat guy who was great.
