About this house rental
Simply Charming Cottage is located in the heart of Quincy. Brand newly updated. Super fresh and cozy with the character of an older home. An abundance of windows flood the home with natural light giving it a very uplifting feel. The home is the only one on the block allowing ample parking and a sense of privacy. Quaint brick courtyard privacy fenced in the rear yard. Just a short walk to Quincy University and Quincy's iconic local pubs and eateries. Close to Blessing Hospital.

The house is very cute and extremely clean and decorated very tastefully. The host left a package of danishes from the local bakery, which was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was so cozy. This however is not a home for someone who has mobility issues. The issues we had were as follows1) bathtub - HIGH step in to the pedestal tub could be a challenge for some - our friend literally fell out of the tub. Luckily she had piled all of her personal items on the toliet so she had a soft landing. Also fighting with the shower curtain made me dread taking a shower. We finally got some clothes pens so that we could keep the curtain closed.2) ice on front steps upon arrival3) key entry pad was a little flaky - luckily there was also a house key so we took in case the key entry pad would not allow us back into the house4)ice trays were not filled - only 4 cubes in the tray5)air fresheners -SO MANY - if you have allergies or issues with scents this home is not for you . We had to unplug them as it was just too much. There were at least 3 downstairs and 2 upstairs. This is by no means a large house.6) the staircase - steep and tiny stairs until you get to the first landing. 7) Kitchen was stocked OK, no coffee pot so we bought one and left it there. Also there were 3 plastic drinking glasses we tried to use - all were cracked and leaking so we went to salvation army and bought them new drinking glasses to replace the cracked ones at the property

This was the perfect home base for us and our adult children when we were not with extended family on Christmas Eve and Christmas. The rooms are smallish but comfortable and tastefully decorated. Lauren' simple and elegant Christmas touches made us feel welcome. The kitchen had everything we needed. A note for elderly guests-- there are a few features which those with less mobility may not be able to take full advantage of. The dining room and chairs are taller than traditional height. Stairs to the bedrooms upstairs are a little narrow, and a charming old-fashioned bathtub could be harder for some to get in and out of. None of these passed any issues for us though, and we really enjoyed our time here! has everything we needed.

The house was absolutely adorable! The only issue we found was some broken glass, plastic, and a small bone in the bottom of the dishwasher. Everything else was fantastic! We would definitely recommend and book again.
