Clean, rustic cabin. Kitchen was complete. Only thing lacking was a hot water kettle but heating water in the microwave worked fine. The no-moon (new-moon, technically) allowed for spectacular views of the dark-sky stars. Burgers at the rustic Plush General Store nearby were delicious. Would definitely recommend and we are looking forward to staying there again. Out “in the middle of nowhere” which was exactly its attraction.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hart Mountain Cabin. I had gone there for a break from life and for doing some astrophotography in Bortle 1 skies, and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin was well stocked with various amenities and communication with the host was good, although check-in check-out instructions were non-existent but still painless. The only real issue I had was the heating unit. This was addressed by the host promptly after the first night, but bled into the next couple of days there as well after it was supposedly fix. Wouldn’t have been an issue if it wasn’t near freezing outside at night, but I will say the cabin was well insulated and held heat well. Bugs did get into the cabin, as the seal is damaged along the bottom of the front door. And during the day, there seems to be a wasp problem on the front porch, but spray was provided to kill them as needed. I would definitely stay there again for additional imaging, if given the opportunity, and I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to disconnect from society for a bit. Very peaceful and quiet.

Such a quiet and peaceful place. Beautiful vistas in every direction as far as the eye can see. Cute cozy little cabin, warm and welcoming. It regenerated my soul! We will definitely be back!

We stayed here to visit the Sunstone mines. The location is spectacular and was fine for our needs, but there were some issues. First, it was hard to find. There's 1 small sign on a gate to the property, but it's not visible if the gate is open. The listing has no picture of the property, and the owner told us (when asked) that it would be open, so we guessed and walked in. Better photos and a detailed description of how to find it would have helped. Wifi wasn't working and there's no cell service, so we had to drive to the Hart Mountain General Store (great place!) to text the owner, and sit there until they replied. The owner doesn't live nearby, and the caretaker didn't get back to us. I unplugged the router twice and it worked. The TV is not a smart TV. No biggie. There's no BBQ grill (as described) and the deck has seen better days with a broken step.It doesn't really have '1 bedroom.' It's tiny house and is one room with a partition. I was traveling with my daughter, so that was fine, but I can't imagine it can sleep 4 people & 2 dogs. The AC unit was functional. The shower and bathroom were small but fine. The kitchen had minimal supplies, and I couldn't find any salt, pepper, or coffee filters, but it was adequate for breakfast. With a better description & communication, it would have been fine. We're city people, but we don't need much! Come with all the supplies you need, enjoy the views & understand that there isn't anything nearby except the General Store!
