Quite remote location on Manhanock Pond, in Parkman Maine. Our Main house and Bunk house share the same 18 acres and 1/4 mile of waterfront. Manhanock and Harlow Ponds are managed as one body of water. Fish pass freely under a bridge on the causeway that separates the ponds. The ponds provide a popular fishery for white perch for boat anglers and for shore anglers from the causeway. Pickerel and the two basses provide summer-long fishing. The ponds are open to ice fishing. The town of Parkman is in the center of Maine, with 843 residents. We have one local store, but don’t worry the surrounding towns have plenty to offer

Parkman is small town with great scenery. You can travel roads both paved and dirt in most any vehicle.

If desired, our dedicated Director and Concierge, Carrie, can assist in bringing your vacation vision to life. Whether you need help with activities, adventure planning, décor, catering, entertainment, or transportation, Carrie is here to help. We collaborate with local partners to ensure exceptional service and memorable experiences.

Would you like us to host an event? We can do that too. We offer Thunder Hall, a 30’ x 40’ event pavilion nestled among walnut trees, and The Haven, a 30’ x 30’ indoor hall for inclement weather. We provide tables, chairs, place settings, and a sound system with microphones to ensure your event runs smoothly. We can also set up and clean up for you when the party is over. Additional services include a self-serve drink table/cooler and packed lunches for adventurers. A separate fee schedule is available for meals, Thunder Hall, The Haven, catering, and related equipment/services.

For even larger groups, we offer the option to book both the Bunkhouse and the Main House, eliminating the need to share the grounds and providing exclusive access to all amenities.

I booked Dragonwood as a place for myself and my bridesmaids to stay leading up to my wedding, and for the rest of the wedding party and out-of-towners to stay at after the wedding. We just thought we booked the only rental near Dover that slept 10 and allowed dogs, but WOW were we pleasantly surprised! This property is beyond stunning. The property management is top notch, and if you're lucky enough to meet the owners on-site you'll find that they are genuinely kind and fascinating people who are eager to share their retreat with visitors. We stayed for five days total and nobody was short of entertainment. From bocce to disc golf, docks and boats, an art studio and numerous gardens and paths to wander, you'll feel immediately at home and at peace here. The Main House is beyond comfortable--all the amenities and comforts you could imagine were ready for you. Not to mention the amazing, eclectic design and decor throughout the home. We loved finding new collections and knick knacks everywhere we turned. I can't thank the Dragonwood team enough for our incredible stay! We hope to return again in the future.

My husband and I absolutely loved this location. The view is spectacular and the property is immaculate. I would caution anyone traveling with older adults or very young children, there are a lot of stairs—in the house and down to the water. My father in-law claimed climbing up from the lake to the house was equivalent to climbing the Eiffel Tower. (It’s not, but you get his point.) We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Love the facilities! wish we could of stayed a few more days to enjoy the property and lake even more! The pics on line do not do it justice as this place is worth checking out and coming back to again! Frank the owner was a very interesting guy who we really enjoyed talking to, next time Frank a beer at the fire pit is in order! We will be back!
