Hotel Quality Stay in the Heart of Lakewood

Great place with a few quirks- was surprised to see none of the reviews mentioned the partially unfinished basement and how the photo angles deliberately hid it. We initially booked the house to hold a small birthday party and stay overnight with some friends, unfortunately said friends had to cancel but that worked in our favor here. Although the property lists it as allowing parties (a contributing reason why we chose it), I was surprised to hear from the host check in instructions that was not the case. We did not receive the check in instructions until I had to send a message when we arrived at the house about 4 hours after we were able to check in. The security alarm went off suddenly with an ear piercing noise but the host was very quick to answer my call when I needed the code to turn it off. Since we had less guests than intended, we did not sleep in the downstairs bedrooms as we did not feel comfortable down there and did not need to. The bedrooms on the main and top floor were super comfortable and had very nice bedding. We appreciated the organization in the kitchen and what snacks and things had been left for us to use.

We had a great time staying here. The host was very responsive as well. We’d stay here again.

The house rental worked perfectly for our family visit. Everything extra clean, nicely stocked for all our needs. Host couple was extra prompt with all of our communications, one thing was missing and was delivered to the house within an hour - awesome response.

Stayed here for a long weekend with our small family. Nice property with unique features. Two bedrooms downstairs. The rest are upstairs. The AC units helped it stay cool during the heat of summer.

This house was adequate for our family, and was very convenient.The actual living area is very small and there is only space for 2 people to eat. Everything we needed was there and conveniently placed.would have been great to have real towel rails and easily accessible toilet rolls. I had to ask 3 times for access instructions which was annoying, but it worked great.the hosts communicated clearly about the parking and it was not a problem at all.we appreciated the water and chocolates. The ncizy soft towels and the water and chocolates!

The owner called me multiple times and practically harassed me about moving my cars. Was recording/watching our families event the entire time therefore she plans her husband was able to call me at every step we made including who/was color was parked where and entered their home. Super creepy. To top it off, they had the nerve to knit play do things like we left candy wrappers on the floor and didn’t flush the trooper even after we had cleaned everything and threw their garbage away for them. We came to the home and found a picture frame that was covering two holes on the wall. Heater coverings on the floor that were broken and their bed frames were already not sturdy to begin with and blamed us that we broke it. They claimed that we had a party even though it was a small family gathering with our family who came to surprise us that day. Like I said, don’t stay here unless you’re ready to be monitored for every steps you take and who knows they may even be desperate enough to try and take you to small claims for things that are already broken in their home and they just need someone else to blame to replace their already runned down home/furnitures. At least, that’s the feeling I got from these owners. And I’m sorry but I have booked through so many properties with vrbo and by far this is the creepiest and not so professional owners ever and we run businesses ourselves! Unless, you want to take a risk go ahead and book with this crazy lady/owner. The owner’s name is Darc!

Nice place to stay

Worked perfectly and had everything we needed

Such a beautiful home. The only thing that we did noticed, is that when we walked in it smelled a lot like bleach. Had to open doors so that the smell could come out, but other than that nice stay. Would definitely stay at this site again:)

My family and I, all coming together from 3 different states to attend our nephew’s wedding, had a wonderful stay at this surprisingly spacious home. The home is located conveniently to a shopping center with everything you may need to host a large family. We had 9 people, 3 couples and 3 individuals and everyone had a place to sleep. The amenities and snacks were great. We were able to grill steaks and shrimp, roast potatoes and eat on the patio. Would definitely recommend this Vrbo.

The property host had good communication and there were enough separate rooms for my family group of eight people. Only downside: the light switches for the rooms downstairs or upstairs were on the same switch, so you could easily turn off another rooms light just turning off yours. The kitchen had great appliances and the backyard was wonderful for letting the kids run around.

The property was clean with a very nice feel to it. The beds were quite comfortable just a tad squeaky but allowed for a good nights sleep. Communication with the owner was great. They were very helpful and active in communicating information. The outdoor space was very relaxing and provided the perfect space for activities. Perfect place for a nice gathering.

We had a nice time and the house met our needs for an overnight trip, clean and room for everyone. We had booked for 8 people so it would be nice to have 8 towels set out. We were able to find extra in the laundry area so it worked out. Thank you for hosting us!

Can’t say anything bad about it! The house is very spacious and very comfortable for a big family! They had everything that is used in a house. Their stuff we forgot and they had it at the house 🙌Loved it! And I recommend this place 👌

Perfect location, close proximity to just about anything that you’d need. Comfy rooms and a nice big tv!

Fantastic comfy stay

Communication with the property owner was excellent. When we arrived we discovered that the upstairs rooms had key code locks on them and we couldn’t access them. Owner immediately responded to my message and we were able to open them. Upstairs king bed is soooo comfortable, so worth the hiccup. Overall the stay was amazing and the home accommodated all of the space that we needed. The dryer was slow to dry, but a second run of drying the clothes overnight worked perfect.

This property was very nice to stay at! Right in the city center, all the stores were close by. RAM restaurant in walking distance was delicious. We had 7 ppl and fit comfortably! The beds were so comfy! Everything was clean and everyone was satisfied. The power went out due to all the acs running, plus straighteners. Darci answered right away and offered to come fix it but we did it ourselves. Simple fix. It was a perfect night. Couldn’t of asked for a better place or host!

Darci's place was great! She was very responsive and easy to work with. Everything was as advertised online. Home was clean & check-in/out super easy. Nice chocolates, snacks and bottled water at home. Parking was not an issue - very clear where to park/not park and there is street parking. Would stay again if in area. Only concern was floor vent in front of stairs to basement. Should be replaced with a floor material grade vent.

Spent 5 days. Host provided pretty much all basics needed for stay - towels, sheets, scrubby pad, all soaps, coffee, sugar, creamer, games, washer/dryer, Place was cooled/heated as needed, had a nice outdoor table/chairs for meals w/grill, kitchen had most of appliances/equipment needed to cook, great gas oven & fridge. Only negs were limited lighting in living room, limited silverware and dishes but certainly enough for a dinner with 6 people (did provide plastic ware to supplement the silverware). We had no issues with the stay and would recommend to other prospective renters.

Low rating due to the house being very hot, the portable AC units left by the property could not run without flipping the breaker. Two of my guests had to stay somewhere else as it was that hot. Also all members staying at the house were woken up at 3am with the smoke alarm going off. I would not stay at this house again unfortunately The property owner was very responsive to the problems but I wouldn't stay due to the uncomfortably factor.

This was a nice vacation rental, just about what we needed except the difficulty of master bedroom having such steep narrow steps to get to the master bedroom upstairs since my stepfather gets massive swelling in his feet and he walks with a cane, and another family member has pain and difficulty walking the stairs; but, we managed. However, ad the house says it is good for up to 8 or 9 people… I think that should be dropped down, as for sleeping sure can fit 8, but eating together or gathering and all sitting together in the living room is not quite roomy enough; and, there were not enough towels - only 5 towels… and we had 6 adults and 2 children, really would need a minimum of 8 towels. But, extremely easy communications, check-in and check-out, and really good location quickly accessible to freeway.

This place has been perfect for our family’s visit with grandma in hospice. Location is very nice with close by eating venues. The owner also provided handy little extra comfort items that were appreciated; coffee, toothbrushes.

It has Two bathrooms but that is a stretch! Dental hygiene sink and 6”round mirror in upstairs bathroom. This was tight quarters for 4 adult children and 2 sets of parents It has a lovely backyard with table and chairs that helped with eating space thank God it was a nice day! Owner was very kind and super responsive!

My son had a great time hosting a sleepover with his friends. We were able to BBQ, eat cake, watch movies and play video games. Till everyone fell asleep. This was a great birthday party idea.
