Holly Hill, The Thomas Grant Harbison House, is a well known estate near downtown Highlands featuring beautiful grounds, three porches, and the most dreamy beds and bedding. Take a nap on the second floor sleeping porch, get cozy in the downstairs library/media room, or stroll through the secret garden that includes a beautiful fountain. There are so many places to relax and enjoy this special and peaceful place.
* Sleeps 12+ Five bedrooms-four king beds and a bunk room with two queens and a giant beanbag that opens to an xtra queen.
* Large dining room table with seating for up to 12
* Beautiful Grounds with Holly, Hydrangea, Azalea, Hasta, Kentucky Bluegrass. The trees are all 100+ years old including many rare species.
* Large stone patio with umbrellas & seating for 12
* Granite patio with lounge seating & charcoal grill
* Wifi Internet (two options for internet- one is commercial grade satellite- but it’s still “the mountains”-which means it works great for email & zoom calls but just okay for streaming)

We had the most wonderful weekend getaway at this Highlands home. I stayed here with a group of my girlfriends, and it was the perfect spot for us to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the mountains. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved drinking coffee on the deck in the mornings and unwinding in the cozy living room at night. The location was ideal—close to town but still peaceful and surrounded by nature. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, which made the entire stay seamless. We’re already talking about coming back because it truly felt like a home away from home.

We had such a great stay here. The house is gorgeous, and the grounds are just as beautiful. Everything felt even better than expected. Janet was very communicative and made everything easy, which we really appreciated.The house itself felt comfortable right away—like a place you could actually settle into, not just pass through. We especially loved the kitchen and cooking space. It’s also conveniently located, so getting into town was simple.We’d absolutely stay here again.
