Los Almendros is a gated community on the beach in Playa Ocotal. There is a guard that lets guests in and out of the property. In addition to your private plunge pool, you can use the shared community pool with ocean views, loungers and covered table areas.
Guests have private use of the home, as well as the private yard and plunge pool. There is also a shared, oceanview pool are with covered seating areas and lounge chairs.

We had a nice time. The house is as advertised, and the location can’t be beat! Playa Ocotal is wonderful, especially during the week. The house was clean and well-stocked. While we were there, one of the AC units went out. The property managers took care of the problem quickly, with great communication. We’d stay here again anytime.

Beachfront Villa was footsteps away from the black sand beach. Beach was incredible with dynamic snorkeling and turquoise blue water. Home is a little more aged than the pictures and pool/pool deck were dirty and unkept.

Perfect Stay – Absolutely Magical!We had the most amazing stay at this home—truly could not have asked for anything better! The oceanfront location is unbeatable, and the beach itself felt absolutely magical. The water is stunning—clear, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing or exploring.One of our favorite surprises was how close the house is to a blowhole—such a unique and fun experience! The surrounding town is also very walkable, which made it easy to explore and enjoy the area without needing to drive everywhere.The house itself had everything we could possibly need—fully stocked and incredibly comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought went into making guests feel at home. The gated neighborhood made us feel very safe, and having access to three community pools was such a bonus!Groceries and essentials are an easy trip into Coco, which made everything super convenient.Honestly, we have zero complaints. This place was perfect, and we would come back in a heartbeat!

Check-in was easy. Wi-fi access is excellent. Our transportation arrangements from and to the airport were excellent. This unit needs a lot of TLC. It is right on the beach, which is wonderful, but the house itself is probably all original and dated. We were there for a month. The area is immediately next door to one of the best restaurants in the area, and walkable, which we loved. The property management company was difficult to communicate with. I could not get them to answer their phone - they only wanted to communicate via text. The living room air conditioner did not work, and I had to reach out 4 times to have to fixed properly. The VRBO listed the property management company as offering services to arrange tours, etc. We had to go to other sources for assistance, as the property management company only sent a list and would not answer their phone to discuss arrangements and answer questions. The area was great but you will need a mode of transporation to get around (we had a golf cart which works fine as long as you don't want to venture into the hills around Ocotal.
