Welcome to The Roost Haus, your cozy getaway nestled in the heart of Bird Haus Farms in the Texas Hill Country. Situated on several scenic acres, our guest home offers the perfect retreat with a spacious front yard, picnic tables, a fire pit, a brand new container pool, and a relaxing hot tub. Wildlife such as deer, coyotes, and raccoons roam nearby, adding a touch of nature to your stay.

Prime Location:
We’re just 5 minutes from the Guadalupe River and 8 minutes from downtown Bulverde. New Braunfels and Boerne are only 25 minutes away, while the wine country of Fredericksburg and downtown San Antonio are under an hour`s drive. For nearby conveniences, restaurants, Walmart, and H-E-B are just 5 minutes away.

1,100 sq. ft. cottage

Main Bedroom:
Located upstairs, featuring a king bed, a sitting area (with a futon), and an attached full bathroom.
Downstairs:
2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed
Full bathroom
The open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area is both cozy and functional, featuring quartz countertops and stained concrete floors. The living room has a small sectional couch and a chair, offering seating for 4-5 people. We provide coffee and kitchen essentials like salt, pepper, and of course, coffee to start your day right.
Outdoor Fun:
Enjoy the pool, or take a dip in our pond (waiver required for both). The property is accessed via a gravel driveway, and there’s another guest house and the main house about 75 ft away.
We live on the property, about 50 yards from The Roost Haus, and are always available to help via text or phone during your stay. Whether you’d like to chat and meet us or prefer your privacy, we’re happy to accommodate. You may also hear our kids playing nearby!
Explore the Area:
There’s so much to do! Our favorite coffee shop is just around the corner off Hwy 281, and there are plenty of dining options – both sit-down and fast food – across the highway. Downtown Bulverde is charming with a fantastic park for kids and teens. The Guadalupe Canoe Livery, just 5 minutes away, offers tubing, canoeing, and rafting for outdoor enthusiasts.
Travel Tips:
The best way to get around is by car, but Uber and Lyft are also available in the area.

Pet fee: $100 (Guests are responsible for their pets and activities on the property.)
The house sleeps up to 8 people (including the futon), but it`s ideal for 4-6 adults. There’s a $30/night charge for each additional guest after 6.
We use a rainwater system – it tastes amazing! Please help us conserve water during your stay.
There are 3 other rentals on the property (Bird Haus Farms).
Security camera: There’s one facing the parking area.
If you plan to use the grill/fire pit, please bring your own charcoal, starter logs, and firewood (available at Walmart or H-E-B across the highway).
Rental agreement required.
Remember the owners live on the property. Early check in/late check out if available for a fee.
There is a $100 pet fee. Max 2 pets.
If you use it, take care of it. If you break it, fix it. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you move it, put it back.
Please ensure you understand the following about the hot tub:
1. If hot tub cover is left off (overnight or for an extended period) the temperature drops dramatically. If hot tub cannot reach 102 by the time the next guest checks in you will be charged a $250 fine.
2. No glass/food/lotions in the hot tub.
3. Add 1 scoop of chemicals after use (located in exterior closet).

We enjoyed the pool and beautiful views! The location was close to restaurants and the golf course we played. Very clean and loved sitting outside on the porch telling war stores and listening to music!

The entire stay, our host’s communication was outstanding. She shared detailed information and went above and beyond to make our stay special. VERY kid friendly property and felt very safe. During our visit, there was a pumpkin patch on the property, and she even left free tickets for our son — one of the highlights of his trip!.The rooms were nice and so comfortable, and the bathrooms were very clean. Everything we could’ve “forgotten” was also available — extra toiletries, plenty of towels, and thoughtful touches throughout. It was clear the hosts truly care about their guests and go the extra mile to make everyone feel at home.We spent both nights by the pool and hot tub. And the mornings eating breakfast at the picnic table. I loved how much seating was on the property. Rocking chairs out front, benches around the fire pit, Couches by the pool and 2 more by the hot tub. Life couldn’t get better. You really could roam the property and enjoy the house/views your whole trip. But we had prior plans booked so we were out and about during the days. We were very happy with the location of the house. It was close to grocery stores and a short commute to the natural bridge caverns. No complaints! The property itself was beautiful with amazing views, and we would 100% stay here again!

We rented the property to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was even more calm and relaxing than the photos suggested. My kids and dog about the swimming hole, and my wife loved floating in the pool. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in the Roost Haus for a girls weekend and it was idyllic! So peaceful, amazing views, pool, hot tub and pond…what else could you ask for? Well, the house itself was adorable, had all of the amenities we needed and more. We enjoyed ourselves so much, and so did my dog! We caught some great wildlife pics while we were there, including deer, frogs, bees. And the hosts had exceptional communication, made check in and out very easy, just what we needed. Can’t wait to stay again!
