About this cabin rental
Enjoy the organic pear orchards and 210 acres of gorgeous Red Hills land with lakes, creeks, hiking and biking- all close to Tallahassee and Thomasville Ga. Our second vintage cabin, called The Governor, is now open also with lake and plantation views.
Huge wrap around porch with stunning natural views. First floor has queen size pullout and twin daybed, full kitchen, living and dining areas with heart pine paneling cabinets and vintage log cabin construction. Second floor loft has king bed.
Excellent wifi with starlink, and smart tv. Full bathroom with claw foot tub and tiled shower and full amenities- all heated and cooled. Very quiet and tranquil with thousands of surrounding acres. Lake access only steps away. Lake has kayaks, pedal boat and paddleboard and is stocked for bass and brim fishing. Firepit and grill on site. Miles of trails through fields and woods. Pear picking in fall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Governor’s Cabin. We were in Tallahassee for FSU graduation and wanted something unique, and this is just what we were looking for. It’s very relaxing and only about 30 minutes to Tallahassee. The cabin is rustic and has all the amenities. The beds are very comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and by the pond with our coffees and had a great time relaxing at the fire pit one night. The hosts are very responsive and answered any questions promptly. They left a welcome packet with historical information and instructions, which we loved reading. This was the easiest check in/check out process we’ve ever experienced. Be sure to take a hike through the property. You might see the baby gator in the pond along with a lot of fish, birds galore, and the blueberry and pear orchards. We’re already trying to plan our next visit!

What a stunning piece of history, and such an incredible location. We spent the days by the fire for, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking. Perfect!
