Everything was really great except that the lanai furniture did not face the sunset. We just rearranged the chairs so we could watch the beautiful sunsets every evening! One note: provide a variety of pillow thickness.

This condo was perfect for our vacation with family. Loved the first floor with lanai on the 6th hole of golf course with ocean view. We used the gold golf membership for discounted golf fees. We really enjoyed our stay at Hali’i Kai 8C. The space is perfect for 4 adults or a small family at most. Would say the photos don’t do the lanai justice, the view was wonderful. We must have lucked out as unit 8 was super quiet the week we were there. Comfy king size bed, super clean, well-stocked kitchen. Living room furniture is also comfy and the whole space just allows you to relax. Plenty of beach amenities (chairs/towels/coolers/umbrella/etc). The pool was nice as was the restaurant, again, maybe we went on a slow week but there were plenty of chairs and the staff was super friendly. There is a $25/day resort fee that you pay when you arrive and check in, it is NOT included the fees paid through VRBO. Also no outside food/drink in the pool area. Still, the area is really well maintained and the pool is great, so worth it, IMO. Will definitely try to book this place again if we’re able to in the future!

the property was beautiful (even better than the pictures)! the condo was so clean and well equipped and the property manager was so easy to deal with and had great communication. we have stayed in other units within the Hali’i Kai complex and this was by far the best. It was a short walk to the pool/restaurant and the lanai was the perfect place to have your morning coffee, read or enjoy the unobstructed view of the sunset. We will definitely look to rebook next time we are on the big island!

The condo is incredibly convenient to Waikoloa shops and restaurants. The condo is clean and comfortable. The resort restaurant is a phenominal place to have dinner and watch the sunset. The only drawback is the resort office and check-in process. Give yourself 30-45 minutes of standing in the hot sun before you get your parking pass and access card. We are definitely coming back

Overall a wonderful stay. Furnishings and beds were very comfortable. We would have rearranged the furniture placement to take better advantage of the lovely view from the sofa. The pool and on-site restaurant were delightful and monitored by staff to Note that the primary bedroom tv was streaming only - not very satisfactory if you like to view tv from bed.

This property was very clean, a top priority for me. The location was great. We enjoyed the ocean view from the inside and outside of the property. The Ocean Club staff and food were top notch, also a perfect walking distance from the unit. One minor disappointment was we didn’t realize no “first morning” coffee supplies so we had to go back out to the store. Kitchen had utensils etc but you need to supply your own food wrap. None was provided. Would love to return and enjoy again.

Home is close to community pool, club house which has great service and food. Absolutely would stay again Check in time to get pool access card was off, but this was due to Covid staffing.

Two of us spent three weeks at this condo in Hali’i Kai. It was the perfect setting. We loved the view of the golf course and ocean from the lanai. Very soothing. The sunsets were stunning. The condo is exceptionally quiet for sleeping and the beds are comfortable. Each morning before the sun rose and each night before going to bed, I walked out on the lawn behind the lanai to watch the stars. A real treat. The Ocean Club within the resort complex is an easy walk and so handy with the private bar and restaurant (good food), exercise area, and pool. The unit is well maintained and the owner was very responsive. We appreciated the grill on the lanai, where we cooked fresh fish. When served along with a salad made of local ingredients, these were perfect and easy dinners. Our favorite place to buy fish is at “Da Fish House” in Kawaihae, a short drive north along the highway. The building doesn’t look like much, but you can purchase fish caught the same day. We like to golf and find the Big Island to have the best courses and greatest. We enjoy all the courses along the Kohala Coast as well as the Big Island Country Club, which is inland and at a higher elevation.

The views from the condo were spectacular! Gets very warm in the direct afternoon sun, could use a fan or shade on the lanai during the hot summer months. The kitchen was fully stocked with almost anything you would need with high quality appliances. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom creaked with every movement (these beds were not meant for adult weight so take that into consideration), I was very thankful there was a sofa in the living room for backup. The pool has a strict beverage/alcohol policy so do not bring your own water or beverage. They asked us and several others to either dump their water bottles or they could hold them until you leave. The service at the Ocean Club was hit or miss depending on who you got, but don’t let that deter you, the sunsets were amazing. The pool and hot tub were refreshing and immaculate. Overall the condo/property was beautiful and we had a wonderful time.

My family had a great time! The apartment is well stocked for all your needs from cooking to having fun at the beach. The on island care taker and owners are very responsive. Fabulous condo and great location for exploring the west coast. Condo is really well equipped with everything you need for your stay including beach towels, chairs and snorkel gear. Resort is lovely, beautiful sunsets from the patio or from the poolside lounge chairs, cocktail in hand. Shopping and dining close by or larger supermarket 15mins drive. We appreciated the info shared by hosts Debbie and Jim, who were also very responsive to any questions I had. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Debbie and Jim were great to work with. They were very responsive and helpful. This is one of the best stocked vacation rentals we have stayed in. There is an abundance of beach towels, chairs, along with several other items to make beach days enjoyable. The king bed in master room was very comfortable. If it wasn't for the 5am wake up call from the people above sleep would have been even more enjoyable. The twin beds in the 2nd room were nice to have for our 2 kids. The sunsets were amazing! The pool is beautiful. Most days we did not have trouble finding chairs, but there were a couple days where it was quite busy. There are some great beaches near by and a wonderful walking trail along the coast. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

My wife and I had a wonderful and memorable stay at Hali’i Kai 8C. This unit is situated perfectly to enjoy the sunset every evening. It is well stocked with all that you would expect a first class vacation lodging to have, from kitchen supplies, laundry supplies and beach fun gear. It was hard for us to not be there for sunset, so we ate at the Ocean Club, or grilled on the patio. Important to us, the beds were excellent and on the firm side. We have found our home base on the Big Island.

We enjoyed the ground level unit with a gorgeous view from the Livingroom, master bedroom and especially from the lanai. The kitchen is well-stocked with appliances to make breakfast preparations easy and convenient. Had an amazing week at this beautiful condo. We watched sunsets while sipping cocktails, cooked lovely breakfasts, took advantage of the beach chairs and towels and enjoyed pool time, workouts and happy hour at the pool at Ocean Club within walking distance! Best of all we got to meet the hosts, Debbie & Jim, who were very kind to us and we really enjoyed talking to. Looking forward to returning to paradise again soon.
