About this chalet rental
A family home for over 50 years that we’ve been managing since we inherited it in late 2013… So I moved here from Paris in 2014 to return to a more meaningful life and enjoy my beautiful home region, the Hautes-Vosges, and its jewel: Gérardmer.
We spent more than 6 years renovating my grandmother Georgette’s house so we could offer our guests a comfortable, functional space where they could feel right at home—that was my goal and remains my ultimate aim for everyone. I’m constantly improving the space… the goal is to share this place; all the money is reinvested entirely into making it even better…
The house isn’t in a mountain style but rather contemporary (yes, not all Vosges residents live among logs and old skis in wooden barns), furnished with pieces I’ve made myself—with my own hard work and/or with the help of a local architect/artist friend— the atmosphere is a mix of knickknacks collected during my travels, along with artwork and objects that my uncles, aunts, and mother grew up with. There’s also quite a bit of personal artwork, as well as pieces from friends, guests, and regulars for whom the house has become their family home, too.
