About this campground/ rv resort rental
Located in the heart of the Ardèche Verte, at the crossroads of several roads leading to the region’s countless tourist, cultural, sporting, and even gastronomic activities.
Here is “La Roulotte Fleurie,” a large vintage trailer restored in a unique, bohemian, chic, and refined style.
It faces the typical Ardèche farmhouse built in 1648, surrounded by a rustic and romantic garden.
With a view of the region’s most beautiful mountain!
Accommodation
La Roulotte, a spacious caravan, was fully restored in 2017 and redecorated this year (everything inside is brand new) and fully equipped to make you feel right at home, as comfortably as possible (given the very limited space!), ideal for couples and lovers!
Not a single piece of furniture or object is placed by chance—every detail is precise to the centimeter (to make the most of the available space).
The detailed photos, along with their captions, will provide you with plenty of additional information.
The mountain at the foot of which the hamlet is built, “Chantelermuze” (833 m)—which means “the rock with lizards” in an ancient Celtic language (and there really are a lot of them!)—towers over everything.
Here you’ll find peace and relaxation to recharge your batteries close to nature, lulled by the coolness of the truly dark, starry nights.
A small welcome gift—very useful in this region—will be given to you upon your arrival.
I’ll welcome you warmly, with great pleasure and courtesy!
Guest access
The farm is located in the very old and tiny hamlet of ROYOL.
It sits between two small paths mainly used by a few tractors heading to the many neighboring fields.
Access to the property and the lodging is very discreet, direct, and completely undisturbed.
Upon your arrival, I will personally hand you the keys, along with any other information you may need.
The easiest place to park is less than 10 meters away; several options are available.
Nestled in the heart of an authentic heritage landscape, surrounded by forests, fields, and numerous orchards (especially apricot and cherry trees!).
Near the villages of St. Victor and St. Félicien (home of “caillé doux,” the most authentic and genuine cheese from the Ardèche!).
Less than 20 km from Annonay and Tournon-sur-Rhône.
A wealth of things to discover is accessible from this tiny dot on the map; the neighboring hamlet serves as the region’s main gateway to exploring the treasures of the Ardèche, both to the north and south.
For example, the Valrhona chocolate factory (Tournon-sur-Rhône), highly rated vineyards and restaurants, tours of the many “villages of character” among the most beautiful in FRANCE, farms producing excellent local products to sample—unavailable for export— local farmers’ markets, countless walks, bike rides, and drives, etc.
Additional notes:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a basic precaution, various health measures have been implemented; bed linens (sheets for the two beds, 140 and 110 cm, see photos) are carefully washed and disinfected, and the provided bath linens (various towels) are disposable and not reused.
Comfortable pillows and a variety of blankets are, of course, provided.
Kitchen equipment, accessories, and dish towels must be clean and undamaged upon your departure.
Salt, pepper, and high-quality cooking oil are provided.
The large barbecue is a “Weber” model; all accessories are provided, plus 10 kilos of excellent charcoal to get you started.
No meals are provided.
The accommodation must, of course, be left perfectly clean and tidy.
For safety reasons, we do not recommend bringing very young children (up to about 7 or 8 years old).
The steep, wild garden, which blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, requires very regular attention—especially when children are present.
No pets allowed (but you’ll see plenty of animals
