The Cottage by the Pond in the town of Le Tablier: A fully restored 16th-century stone house with character (restoration completed in July 2021) that can accommodate up to 6 people. Located in the heart of the Vendée countryside, in a charming, picturesque hamlet where you’ll enjoy an incomparable setting of peace and quiet.
This beautiful 130 m² home features, on the first floor, a living room with two leather sofas and an armchair, a digital TV and DVD player (35 DVDs available for children and adults), a dining area with a large table and 6 chairs, and a sideboard stocked with plenty of board games, cards, puzzles, coloring books, Sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc...

A large, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker and Dolce Gusto (complimentary coffee and tea pods), electric kettle, toaster, electric mixer, a wide selection of cookware, dishes, salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar, mustard, sugar cubes, and powdered sugar.
A bathroom with a toilet and a 120x90 shower featuring a rain showerhead, a washing machine, a hair dryer, a hair straightener, 1 iron and an ironing board, a freestanding clothes drying rack and a large outdoor wall-mounted drying rack, plus clothes pins; all bath linens are provided (2 towels and 1 washcloth per person), 1 large beach towel per person, as well as a beach umbrella (upon request). Everything needed for cleaning the cottage (broom, hand broom and dustpan, vacuum cleaner, bucket and mop, and all cleaning supplies).
Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, each 13 m² in size. Bedroom 1 features a double bed, a closet, and the option to add a real wooden crib with a comfortable mattress. Bedroom 2 features a double bed and two single beds, a clothes rack with hangers, and an alcove with a dresser.
The two bedrooms are accessed via two separate staircases but can be connected via the landing.
A private, enclosed garden with trees is located at the back of the cottage, completely secluded from neighbors, featuring a large table and 6 chairs, a charcoal grill, 3 sun loungers, and a seating area with 3 armchairs and a bench.
The grounds in front of the cottage—featuring a lawn, a small wooded area, and a pétanque court—are shared with my family (2 adults, 1 child); however, we use a private entrance when guests are staying, and we enjoy our garden when you’re away!
Our private area is not overlooked by neighbors, and since we live nearby, we’re available to help you at any time if needed. We’re discreet—when you rent the cottage, you’re at home!!!!
We’re lucky to be just 3 minutes from the Chaos de Piquet, a remarkable, wild, and romantic site—undoubtedly the most picturesque spot in the Yon Valley. There’s a guinguette there where you can grab a bite to eat or just have a drink.
We’re 25 minutes from the fine-sand beaches… and 18 minutes from Lake Graon.
Various attractions and sights are 15 to 45 minutes away…
We’re surrounded by vineyards, so you can explore the wine route and visit the Vendée vineyards!
As you can see, our little corner of paradise offers plenty to see and do, from walks through lush greenery to the wild coastline—where time stands still and you can let yourself be carried away by birdsong and the sound of the waves...
