About this house rental
Agricultural estate in the Drôme in Grane, very close to the Ardèche, close to must-see sites.
In the middle of nature, the Domaine Distaise, a south-facing Provençal farmhouse is surrounded by orchards. It runs along the Drôme river.
Comfortable, warm accommodation with 5 bedrooms. Capacity allows for reunions, seminars.
Rates are given for an occupancy of 10 people (5 rooms).
Important note: For any stay of less than or equal to 5 nights, additional mandatory fee: 225 euros. The quote will be adjusted after your online booking.
On site everything is done to make your stay unforgettable: billiards, heated summer swimming pool in a 1000 m² park enclosed by walls, farm catering, shop of 40 farm producers, farm animals, electric bike rental. All rooms are equipped with air cooler (Dyson tower)
Semi-detached cottage in the owners' home. Independent entrance.
First floor: living room with dining area and lounge area, fireplace, bar, kitchen, 1 bedroom: (1x160) TV, private bathroom (bath), separate toilet.
Upstairs: mezzanine with billiard table and library, 2 bedrooms: (1x140) (2x90, attic room of 6m²), shower, separate toilet.
2 other bedrooms (passage to the outside, sheltered terrace). R de C: 1 bedroom accessible to people with reduced mobility (2x90), TV, private shower room/WC (Italian shower). Upstairs: 1 bedroom (1x160), TV, private bathroom (bath), separate toilet.
Full integrated kitchen: dishwasher, microwave oven, 1 American fridge.
Two private terraces with garden furniture, heated summer swimming pool (13x6m) from May to September, in a wooded and enclosed park of 1,000m². Free wifi connection.
Eco gestures: waste disposal centre, wood pellets, solar hot water, self-produced electricity, LEDs, presence detectors. Water softener.

What a great place! Roomy, comfortable, clean, very well stocked kuchen, enough linens, lots of charm. We didn't know that your share walks with the ownersbut you never felt it. There is camping on the property but it is not in your way. I would stay there again.

Nous sommes venus entre amis profiter d'un weekend au domaine de la distaise et tout fut parfait.
L'accueil (aussi bien au gîte qu'à la boutique de produits régionaux) était très chaleureux et convivial.
Le plaisir de faire partager les produits de qualité accompagné d'une bienveillance constante vis à vis de notre groupe d'amis ont contribué a sublimer notre séjour.
Gîte conforme en tout point à la description faite.
Un grand MERCI à Corinne et Joël.
Sans eux notre weekend n'aurait pas été aussi réussi.
Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

Not what I expected from the website information about the property (including some info from customer reviews which I appreciate are not the direct responsibility or input of the owners), although it turned out to be fine/ok as the base for our family vacation.A few key areas where there were gaps between expectations and reality:1) The main picture of the house on the website is quite misleading as most of what is in that photo is the home of the owners not the part of the building that has been divided off for guests.2) The property is advertised as a 5 bedroom house, but actually 2 of the bedrooms are in a separate annex across a small yard from the main part of the house. 3) A number of the reviews refer to how well equipped and comfortable the house is with top of the range amenities. While there's a large quantity of crockery/cutlery in line with the huge inside dining table that looks more set up for hosting party events than a family dinner, the quality all-round is very ordinary. The kitchen is very small with no proper oven (just a small portable), a hob with just 3 rings, normal utensils, but knives all totally blunt. Cooking for 6-8 adults was a grind.Living area is large, but has hard, uncomfortable seats/sofas for max 6 people. Bedrooms are fine, but bathrooms quite old/tired and one stank of chlorine all week. All ok, but much more basic/rustic than many of the reviews suggested.
