About this house rental
The cottage "les mouettes" is a small fisherman's house completely renovated of 40 m2 with all the necessary comfort that can accommodate up to 4 people. A fully equipped kitchen, oven, microwave, washing machine, induction hob, kettle, electric coffee maker and senseo, sofa bed, television, iron; Upstairs 1 bedroom with television a bed of 140, bathroom with shower and toilet, hair dryer. The accommodations are located 100 m from the beach and has a view of the sea. It is located close to shops, bakery 40 m, press house 50 m, butcher's shop 150 m, port and fish market 100 m, contact crossroads 500 m. Sale of fish and shellfish every day on the port; weekly market, on Tuesdays all year round and on Sundays in summer, night market on Sunday evenings in summer. You have the vélomaritime where you can explore all the landing beaches via the Pointe du Hoc, a beautiful bike ride all along the coast. Many cultural activities in the surrounding area, Caen memorial, military cemeteries (American, German, English), Bayeux tapestry, Mont Saint Michel, not to mention 1 all the sites and museums of the D-Day landings. Outdoor activities, beach, fishing on foot, tennis, shrimp fishing (July/August), sailing school.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this home in Normandy. It was so clean, perfectly located between all of the D-Day sites, and the owners are so kind. They have everything you would need in the kitchen. I really loved having a washing machine! There's not a dryer, so you just need to hang dry laundry. I have only good things to say about this property! One note: you need to bring your own body soap, shampoo, and bath towels. We went to the nearby store to buy these items. Thank you!

We stayed for 3 nights. The home was clean, nicely decorated and located close to restaurants, the beach and a market for groceries. We toured the Normandy region during our stay and found the location a great base to explore other areas! Jean was easy to communicate with. He greeted us when we arrived and even had a welcome bottle of locally made cidre and caramels for us. I would highly recommend this VRBO!

This little tucked away home was perfect for our Normandy getaway. We were minutes from Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, 1.5 hours to Mont St. Michel, and 2 hours to Honfleur. The house is very well-appointed, Jean has made sure everything is covered! Kitchen appliances and anything needed to make a meal was available. Bed was very comfortable. Shower a large standup with plenty of hot water. Radiator on both floors worked well. Parking was a little tricky but coming from America we had to figure out how to park in a tight space. Jean is available in case anything is needed, and he was on time for check in and check out. A bottle of wine and caramels were waiting for us when we arrived. We would definitely seek out his property again the next time we are in Normandy.
