Welcome to Cazaux Frechet, in the calm of a small village typical of the High Pyrenees, perched at 1100m, and overlooking Loudenvielle and Lake Genos.
Between the Aure Valley and the Val D'Aran you will discover the Louron Valley, its picturesque villages, its forests and its river, its farmers' markets, its lake, its ski and mountain bike resorts...
Two beautiful stone barns completely renovated, "Aster and Adonis", a tribute to the endemic flora of the Pyrenean massif, await you in all seasons to make you enjoy the pleasures and tranquility of this little corner of paradise. You can admire the splendid view of the valley and its peaks or rest in peace on a beautiful wooden terrace, after a day of sport.
We provide you with:
A main barn ASTER 2 to 6 people +/- ADONIS barn for a total of up to 8 – 10 people.
Rental rates depend on the rental of one or both buildings. This listing is for the rental of the 2 buildings for 7 days.

Upstairs: a main room, with a large bay window offering a view of the valley and the peaks on one side, and a glass door opening onto the terrace on the other. TV, DVD player, stereo, large corner sofa, lounge chairs. Fully equipped kitchen (fridge freezer, oven, microwave, induction hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, kettle etc...); Table with extension for 10 people; pantry with washing machine and dryer, storage.
Childcare equipment: folding bed, high chair, changing mat
Large wooden terrace with sun loungers and table/parasol, Plancha
Garage with storage for ski/hiking/cycling equipment
Heating: wood stove (including wood) and underfloor heating
The terrace communicates with the "ADONIS" barn allowing 4 additional beds

And upstairs a "loft-type" room with 4 beds (1 bed 140/190, 1 bed 90/190 and a "trundle" bed 90/190), 1 sofa, 1 large wardrobe, 1 rest area.

ACTIVITIES AND DISCOVERIES
Discover the villages of the valley with their renovated barns, their Pyrenean houses with characteristic architecture, their Romanesque churches, some of which are listed and still have colourful frescoes, such as Saint Calixtus built in the eleventh century in homage to an Aragonese martyr, which overlooks the village of Cazaux. A pleasant hiking trail from the cottage is a perfect example of these villages nestled in the mountains, with the added bonus of its cheese factory to be discovered.
In winter you can enjoy two resorts (Peyragudes 4 km and Val Louron 13 km) 10 and 20 minutes away by car, or take the SkyVall from Loudenvielle to Peyragudes. The resorts offer downhill skiing, marked snowshoe trails, ski touring. You can also broaden your field of action with the 4 valleys Pass which opens the doors to Saint Lary Pla d'Adet (30 min from the gondola) and Piau-Engaly (1 hour). Luchon and SuperBagneres are also accessible via the Col de Peyresourdes about 45 minutes away. You will find two sleds and two pairs of snowshoes available in our cottage.
In summer, many very well marked hiking and trail circuits will allow you to crisscross the valley, or to gain altitude in order to discover the turquoise blue lakes of the massif (lakes of Bareilles, lakes of Pouchergues, Caillauas ....and of course in the nearby Aure
