Magnificent house with exceptional views! The pictures don’t do it justice as the views of the mountains and water are breathtaking. What a wonderful location with a sleek beach that is definitely walking distance. We would love to go back again one day with our family and kids

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und es hat alles sehr gut gepasst. Die Strasse hoch zum Haus ist etwas steil, aber man gewöhnt sich daran…
Der Laden in der Nähe ist klein aber fein. Auch der kleine Strand gleich nebenan, ist sehr sauber und empfehlenswert.
Wir können das Haus aus unserer Sicht sehr gut weiterempfehlen (4 Erw. & 4 Kinder). Jedes Zimmer mit Dusche & Lavabo und dazu 4 WC.

This is an exceptional property but we had 3 issues - access, loos, and living room aircon. Some people won’t mind these issues but best to know in advance.
The views of the sea and mountains are wonderful. But this is only possible because the property is perched atop a hill. Private access from the road is some 400 metres long starting with a gentle upward stony track then climbing some 70 meters on concrete at an almost impossible gradient. This requires 1st gear in a car (one car we saw slipped its clutch). Due to the gradient the walk down is not pleasant and the walk up is challenging in the early morning or late evening and punishing if not impossible in the heat of the day. It's only for very fit humans and dogs. Those with mobility issues, small children or buggy pushing parents should not attempt it. There is a work around - take your car down and park at the foot for the return up - not ideal. The property in effective terms is 700 meters from the beach / shop – driveway (with gradient) some 400 meters plus road to the car park 300 meters.
The swimming pool is wonderful, warm at around 30 degrees, checked weekly, powered cover. The toilets are awful! There are only 2 small loos, neither has hand basin or bidet. The ground floor loo serves 3 bedrooms, the top floor loo 2 bedrooms. You can hardly fit in the top one, there is no fresh air or extractor. The property description states 5 en suite bathrooms – I had expected 5 loos in a “luxury” property.
The outdoor eating area is a lovely place to have lunch.
The indoor living area has no aircon. At night leave the doors open and brave the insects, or close the doors and suffer extreme heat. The bedrooms have aircon.
The glass doors have no visible safety strip - one guest walked into a door causing a serious black eye and bruised face. There was no audio we could find but we took our own Bluetooth system. We didn't see an advertised "boat" or "petanque".
The bed linen was partly substandard - helpfully exchanged by the local agent; the kitchen knives were not sharp. It was good having 2 fridges and 2 dishwasher machines. The restaurants at the beach and further away (e.g. at Solanzara) are lovely. The little shop at the beach stocks most essentials. There are supermarkets (Spar at Ste Lucie and Leclerc at Porto Vecchio). Local wineries e.g. at Lecci worth a visit also trips to Zonza and Bonifacio.
