The surrounding area boasts historic towns such as Schagen, Alkmaar, and Horn. Amsterdam is also just an hour away.
Sint Maartenszee has several shops, a dry cleaner, two restaurants, a snack bar, a mini-golf course at the campground, a small amusement park, a small swimming pool with a sauna, bike rentals, and opportunities for horseback riding or canoeing.
