About this house rental
We modernized the “Mein Nordstern” vacation home—which is about 190 m²—in 2021 with great attention to detail. We’ve furnished and equipped the house exactly the way we like it best. Alongside design classics, you’ll find high-quality beds and carefully selected kitchenware, giving the house a modern yet cozy feel!
Location
The “Mein Nordstern” house is situated on a property of approximately 2,000 m² in the village of Humptrup, offering unobstructed views across the vast North Frisian landscape all the way to neighboring Denmark. The vacation home’s location is ideal for day trips to the nearby islands of Föhr and Amrum, which can be reached by ferry from Dagebüll.
Sylt is just a 15-minute train ride from the Klanxbüll station.
In just a few minutes by car, you can also reach the charming little Danish town of Tønder, and within about 40 minutes by car, you’ll be on the beach on the North Sea island of Rømø.
The German and Danish Baltic Sea coasts and the Schlei are about an hour’s drive away.
You can shop for groceries in Süderlügum, about 3 km away, even on Sundays.
Kitchen and Dining Room
The heart of the house is the well-equipped kitchen with an adjacent open dining area.
In addition to an electric stove and an oven, the kitchen features a dishwasher, a microwave, a side-by-side refrigerator with an ice maker and a large freezer compartment, as well as high-quality tableware from Broste Copenhagen and brand-name cutlery and pots. The kitchen is also equipped with a filter coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. A toaster and a kettle are also provided.
The large solid-wood dining table seats up to 10 people, who can take a seat on original Eames chairs. A Stokke high chair is also available.
Next to the dining area is a cozy stove.
Living Room
We’ve furnished the cozy, modern living room with two high-quality sofas from the Danish design studio Hay, each seating 3–4 people. The sofas are complemented by a “reading area” featuring two comfortable, modern wingback chairs.
The living room features a 55-inch TV (DVBC).
We’ve equipped both the living room and dining room with a large SONOS speaker each.
Bedrooms
The “Mein Nordstern” vacation home has 4 bedrooms. Three bedrooms are furnished with box-spring beds measuring 180 x 200 m. We have furnished the fourth bedroom with 4 new stackable beds (design classics by Rolf Heide from 1966), which can be arranged individually. For example, you can stack them to form a classic double bed or arrange them as 4 single beds in the room. Maximum flexibility with a high level of sleeping comfort!
A crib and a “safety rail” for toddlers are available for your use.
The beds will, of course, be made upon your arrival.
Bathroom
On the first floor, there is a bathroom with a toilet, shower, bathtub, and a Miele washer-dryer.
The upstairs level features a shower room with a toilet.
We provide one set of towels per person.
Study
The vacation home also features a small study with a large desk and adequate lighting. But perhaps even more important is the internet speed. The vacation home is connected to the internet via a 200 Mbit/s fiber-optic connection. The house offers free Wi-Fi.
The thatched-roof house has a large natural garden for your exclusive use, featuring two beautiful terraces. One terrace is located directly in front of the kitchen and is sheltered from the wind. For the second terrace, we’ve built a large wooden deck in the garden. Here you’ll find a very large wooden table with benches and chairs. The garden furnishings are complemented by a beach chair, two lounge chairs, and a parasol.
From here, enjoy the unobstructed view across the vast North Frisian landscape all the way to Denmark, just 3 km away.
The property is largely, but not completely, fenced in.
A small shed and a large bicycle shed are also at your disposal.
Additionally, there are three free parking spaces for vacation guests on the property.

Wir hatten zu fünft einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dem tollen Haus. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Tolle Betten, das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll und hat eine schöne Lage.
Wir kommen nächstes Jahr gerne wieder.

Prachtige woning: uitstekend modern comfort in een charmant gebouw uit 1834 (oorspronkelijk een dorpsschool).
Zeer volledig uitgeruste keuken met mooi vaatwerk. Goede bedden en uitstekend sanitair.
Letterlijk alles is er van topkwaliteit!
Goede uitvalsbasis voor de kennismaking met Schleswig en het Zuiden van Denemarken.
Een aanrader voor vakantie met het gezin of met vrienden.
Zelfs een laadpaal voor elektrische auto's is aanwezig.

Das Objekt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist genauso wie im Online -Inserat. Alles wurde mit sehr viel Liebe Detailtreue in Bezug auf das Baujahr renoviert.
Das Einchecken klappte reibungslos ( Schlüsseltresor ) und nach einer Erkundung der Räumlichkeiten haben wir uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt. Als kleine Aufmerksamkeit standen 1 Flasche Sekt und 2 Flaschen bierhaltige Getränke des Landstriches in der Küche.
Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe sind sehr komfortabel, da viele Märkte und wenn man mit dem Auto fahren will, kann man auch Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung machen. Ein Spielplatz ist nicht weit entfernt.
Sehr gut gefiel, dass 3 Parkplätze für unsere Autos vorhanden waren, da wir aus 3 verschiedenen Regionen angereist sind.
Wir haben die Zeit im Haus sehr genossen zu langen Spieleabenden, Gesprächen und gemeinsamen Kochen. Auch den Garten konnten wir dank des guten Wetters nutzen, sogar zur Ostereiersuche. Der Garten könnte aber etwas mehr Pflege gebrauchen.
Wir können insgesamt sagen, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wir können das Haus weiterempfehlen.
