The charming SONNENWEG 34 vacation home on Lake Diemel in the Sauerland offers stunning views and space for 6 people. And if you’d like, you can even bring your dog along.
There are 3 spacious bedrooms with TVs, blackout blinds, and plenty of space for your vacation wardrobe. One of them has two single beds, and two have wonderfully comfortable double box-spring beds. Perfect for a vacation with the whole family or your very best friends.
Thanks to stair gates, the house is also suitable for toddlers.
In addition to the large wellness bathroom with a sauna, bathtub, and shower area, there’s a second bathroom with a shower.
The highlight is the large living/dining area with an open kitchen. Top-of-the-line kitchen appliances—from an electric grill to a blender—everything has really been thought of here.
The sofa area is perfect for playing, reading, relaxing, or even binge-watching TV shows. It gets really cozy when you turn on the electric fireplace.
By the way, this area also offers direct access to the large rooftop terrace.
But the best part is the magnificent view across Lake Diemel, stretching far into the rolling hills of the low mountain range.
Wi-Fi, parking right outside the front door, and contactless check-in are, of course, also included with this QUARTIERFREUND property.

Whether you’re seeking peace and quiet, looking for an active vacation, or traveling with the whole family, you’ll experience breathtaking views and unspoiled nature on certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycling routes. For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity. The Fort Fun Adventure Park in Bestwig, Winterberg, Berleburg Castle, and Willingen—a town known far beyond the state borders for its lively nightlife—are also nearby. For now(!), Heringhausen and the Diemelsee vacation village are still considered absolute hidden gems in the region. However, the local tourist information center has already undergone an extensive renovation and offers its guests—in addition to the super-friendly and helpful staff—an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent wellness and sauna area, as well as an interactive exhibition about Lake Diemelsee.

From December 28, 2024, to January 2, 2025, we were able to spend wonderful days here with sunny and dry weather. The house is in a great location! When we got up in the morning, we couldn’t get enough of the view of the lake and the surrounding countryside. The house was very clean, and the rooms were spacious. The only downside: There’s really very little counter space and work area in the kitchen. We had to set the coffee maker and microwave on the windowsill just to have a little space while preparing food. Constantly moving the appliances back and forth to reach the outlets was a bit annoying. We could have easily left our raclette set at home; one was even provided here. High praise also for the beds! They were all very comfortable, and we slept great. Unfortunately, the heater in the living room didn’t work. There’s no on/off switch on the right side of the unit
