Family-friendly vacation rental with two separate bedrooms, a balcony, and its own beach chair!
Enjoy a relaxing vacation on Borkum. Our cozy vacation rental, “Abendsonne,” is ideal for a family vacation. Just a short bike ride away, and you’ll be at the North Sea and the popular main beach (Nordbad)—perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or taking a stroll. For exclusive comfort and maximum relaxation, a complimentary beach chair reserved just for you offers a sweeping view of the beach and the sea.
Inside the apartment, you’ll find a spacious living area with an integrated kitchenette and dining table, as well as two separate bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
A furnished balcony with a beautiful view of the pastureland and the New Lighthouse invites you to relax outdoors. It’s perfect for quiet moments with a good book or for winding down the day in the evening sun. You can also completely unwind at the nearby beach and savor the crisp North Sea air. The gentle sound of the waves, the cries of the seagulls—here you’ll experience soothing moments and recharge your energy. Depending on the weather, the beach chair is set up from around early April through the fall and is located at Nordbad (for more information, check your guest app).
After a day at the beach, you can make yourself comfortable in the living room with its sofa area and TV—watch a good movie, read, or chat with friends and family.
One of the two separate bedrooms has a double bed (90 x 200 cm each), and the other has two single beds (90 x 190 cm). Upon request, the couch in the living room can accommodate two additional guests.
To make it easy for you to prepare your own meals during your vacation on Borkum, the kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a 4-burner stove, an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a microwave, as well as a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster.
The large dining table is a wonderful place to gather—enjoy your vacation breakfast or dinner and plan your next day on Borkum.
A high chair, toys, and a changing pad are part of the apartment’s standard furnishings.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire vacation rental.
For your leisure, there is a table tennis table in the house.

General Information: Washing machines and a dryer are available in the communal basement. The building has a storage room for bicycles. Free parking for your car is available in front of the building. Please understand that, unfortunately, pets are not permitted.
NOTE: From early November 2026 through late March 2027, there will be construction taking place here (roof renovation involving the erection of scaffolding). Noise disturbances are to be expected due to the construction work.

The vacation apartments are located in the “Holiday Residenz II” residential complex. It’s centrally located on Richthofenstraße, yet quiet and not right in the heart of town. In the town center itself (800 m away), small shops, cafés, and restaurants invite you to take a leisurely stroll. After 1.5 km (a 6-minute bike ride), you’ll reach the beautiful sandy beach and the promenade. From the complex, you can take relaxing walks and bike rides through Borkum’s natural surroundings.
From the ferry terminal, the narrow-gauge train runs all the way to the town center. From there, the apartments are about 950 m away. Upon your arrival, taxis will be available to take you and your luggage to your vacation rental. The complex is easily accessible by car and offers parking spaces for cars and bicycles right in front of the building.
The Nabrotzky Island Bakery is located in front of the complex—perfect for fresh breakfast rolls.

Super schöne ordentliche Wohnung. Perfekt für kleine Familien. Gut ausgestattet ( in der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man so brachen kann, ein paar Spielsachen für die Kinder waren ebenfalls schon vorhanden, genug Stauraum für alles was man so mitbringt…)
Werde die Wohnung beim nächsten Borkumurlaub wieder buchen :)

Die Wohnung ist recht großügig und nett ausgestattet. Vom Balkon hat man einen tollen Blick ins Grüne und zum Leuchtturm. Ohne Auto muss man schon etwas laufen, dafür kommt man an Pferdekoppel vorbei :-). 4 Stock ohne Aufzug ist allerdings nur etwas für Leute ohne Gesundheitsprobleme, aber das wußten wir ja beim buchen!

Die Wohnung war o.k. Aber dieselbe zu finden war ein reines Abenteuer.
1. Als Letzter von der Fähre. 1/2 Stunde Verspätung.
2. Ankunft in der Agentur, Ansage von der Mitarbeiterin: " Warum kommt ihr so spät? Ich muss gleich weg, wenn etwas ist, ruft die Notrufnummer an"
3. Man gab uns die Auskunft, Wohnung 20e mit 2 Schlüsseln zu suchen.
3. Nachdem wir 1 3/4 Stunde das Haus 20e gesucht hatten, riefen wir die Notrufnummer an, und bekamen keine Durchwahl. Die Notrufnummer war nach Auskunft einer Mitarbeiterin geändert worden, ohne uns darüber zu informieren.
4. Danach probierten wir einen Schlüssel für 18e, der zufällig passte. Hätten wir den 2. Schlüssel genommen, wären wir nicht ins Haus gekommen, weil der Schlüssel sich nicht einstecken ließ. Danach mussten wir den zweiten Schlüssel am Sonntag umtauschen.
So kann man keine Gäste, die wie ich zum ersten Mal auf Borkum waren, betreuen. Mehr kann eigentlich nicht mehr schief gehen.
