The cozy "Kleine Freiheit" apartment is located in a prime spot right on Lake Kranichsee, in the "4 Jahreszeiten" building in Hahnenklee. Please be sure to read our additional information carefully.
With 32 square meters of space, the "Kleine Freiheit" offers everything you need for a relaxing and restful vacation.
A large box-spring bed for two people, a sleeper sofa for one additional person, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette with a separate double hotplate, a coffee maker, a toaster, a TV, a dining table, free Wi-Fi, and more.
Enjoy relaxing days with a direct view of Lake Kranichsee. Whether you’re making yourself comfortable on the balcony or exploring the beautiful natural surroundings, there’s plenty to experience and plenty of opportunities to unwind in every season.
Set out on a discovery or hiking tour in the Harz National Park and experience the emerging wilderness in all its facets. Enjoy nature, adventure, sports, and relaxation in the vicinity of “Kleine Freiheit.”
It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the Bocksberg aerial cableway and the chairlift.
Nearby attractions include: a playground with a water slide right in the spa park in front of the house, a water playground at the Upper Flößteich (approx. 2.5 km), a mini-golf course, the wooden stave church, the “Liebesbank” (Love Bench), and Kuttelbacher Teich (a swimming lake with boat rentals)—all easily accessible on foot; the mountain town of Lautenthal, the Johanneser Bergwiesen nature reserve, and the Waldseebad are about 5 km away, the Wolfshagen quarry, the mine with a mine train in Rammelsberg (approx. 6 km), and much more.
Shopping: Rewe, Aldi, Lidl, etc., are located in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, about 8 km away.
Otherwise, there is a small “Tante Enso” supermarket in Hahnenklee with limited hours, located a short distance past the pedestrian zone on the left-hand side.
Restaurants & Cafés: 1894 Bistro & Bar, Restaurant China Town, and Restaurant Piccolo Mondo are just a few minutes’ walk away, as is Schoko am Kreuzeck (which offers a very nice view down by the lake).
The Schnitzelkönig is located in Lautenthal (advance reservations may be required).
Top Attractions: Kaiserpfalz, Mönchehaus Museum of Modern Art, Clock Museum, and stalactite cave in Bad Grund; a tin figurine museum 19 km away.
Ski lifts, the Bocksberg aerial cableway, chairlift, summer toboggan runs, and mountain bike trails, as well as various reservoirs, hiking trails, the Oderteich, and much more.
Public transportation: Bus and train

General information: The entrance to the parking lot in the back yard of the house is on the right, right at the end of the long side of the building.
