Set in the heart of Lucca’s historic center, within the old city walls and close to the Cathedral, this 80 m² apartment features a living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 5 guests. Amenities include Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, streaming services, a fan, and a washing machine.
This historic apartment preserves authentic Lucchese charm with three stone staircases to the entrance, exposed beams, and original period ceilings, creating a unique, inviting atmosphere. These traditional features make it ideal for guests who appreciate the character of a medieval home in central Lucca.
Enjoy a private terrace furnished with a dining table, chairs, and parasol. Numerous restaurants are a short walk away, especially in Piazza del Giglio. The nearest bar is 122 meters away, and the supermarket is 461 meters away. Lucca train station is a 5-minute walk, and the nearest airport is about 36 km away.
The apartment is in a limited traffic zone; parking is outside the old city walls, with several options just 5 minutes’ walk away. Pets are not allowed. Air conditioning is not available. Wine tastings and cooking classes can be arranged on request. An extra baby cot is available on request, subject to availability and for an extra fee. Check-in outside standard hours can be arranged on request and for an extra fee.
Please inform the host in advance of your preferred bed arrangement. Use of the sofa bed is available for an extra fee, especially for stays with 2 guests in smaller apartments or 2–3 guests in larger apartments.

Andrea was a most amazing host from start to finish. We didn’t need much because he had the place so well equipped but when we needed him he responded immediately. The place is very comfortable, beautiful and in the perfect part of town. I highly recommend both Andrea and La terrazzo di Sofia.

The apartment is very nice and nicely located in the charming old town of Lucca. The check in was very welcoming with lots of tips for the stay. The entrance of the apartment is at the top of few charming but steep stairs. The roof top terrace is a big plus, with nice city views.

Pros: The view from the terrace and accessibility to train station to see top sites in Tuscany.Enjoyed walking around the walls, wandering the streets of Lucca, park run, antique and flower markets and going to the opera. And of course the delicious food.
Cons: The beams were quite low and banged head several times. Could do with a handrail going up to the terrace.
