About this villa rental
The Mar e Sol Villa is an excellent place to rest, relax, and spend your vacation, as it is a spacious vacation rental located in a very quiet and peaceful area of Achada.
The villa is very well located, with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island’s northern coast. It’s wonderful to watch the sunrise and sunset from the villa, and it’s right across from the viewpoint at the churchyard.
The new road provides good access from Achada to everything there is to see in the northeast, including a spectacular route to Furnas, Povoação, and Vila Franca do Campo.
Achada is a small rural parish, quite secluded in the northeast, very green, and with good access to the entire island.
This town is very close to the health center, has a pharmacy, two mini-markets, and two cafés with private parking.
The people of this parish are very courteous, helpful, and kind.
The owners of the villa enjoy welcoming everyone with the utmost courtesy and friendliness.
The distance to Nordeste (Health Center) is 11 km. The property is located within a 10-minute drive of the Salto da Farinha Lookout.
All areas of the villa feature abundant plants and gardens, and it faces north, with an outdoor recreation area and barbecue, complete with firewood provided by the owner for guests’ use.
Bedrooms feature windows overlooking the outdoors, blinds, nightstands with electric lamps, tissue boxes, notepads, and individual towels for the beach and bathroom use.
It’s very easy to get to Vivenda Mar e Sol.
Pick up a map of the island at Ponta Delgada Airport, leave the airport, and take the Via Rápida (SCUT) toward Ribeira Grande, then continue straight ahead toward the northeast.
Exit the SCUT at Achada; at the first small roundabout, take the first right exit; a few meters later, at the second roundabout, take the third exit on the right and continue straight ahead until you reach the viewpoint at the churchyard.
The villa is right next door, at Rua de São João, 10.
Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

The property was very nice with a beautiful view of the water. The hosts could'nt have been more hospitable.The only downside for us were the comfortability of one of the beds. One was quite firm which I liked, the other was quite hard.

Great seaviews & sunsets from the upstairs apartment. Spacious accommodation in a very quiet area of Achada. The new road connects Achada well to anything that there is to see in the northeast of including a spectacular road to Furnas!
The balcony is only narrow, enough to put a chair and soak up the evening sun.
The BBQ is shared use with the downstairs apartment, but comes with wood provided.
The owner was very tolerant of our late arrival and inability to find this actually easy to find place (It’s next to the church in Achada. Btw the church is very quiet and has not woken us up).
