Lovely semi-detached, one bedroomed house, 50 yards from beach.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Small, enclosed rear garden with patio, courtyard and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. This lovely one-bedroom house is located just 50 yards from the beach and 3 minutes to the town centre and seafront. This cottage offers plenty of room for two people for that perfect seaside break.
Herne Bay has plenty to offer from the beaches, arcades, pubs and bars, restaurants and cafés, as well as being close to Whitstable, Canterbury, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and many other towns and villages with walks and places to visit.
Take a short drive to Canterbury and experience the historic hustle and bustle of the beautiful city, sample oysters in Whitstable, or take a day trip to France from Dover, with its regular ferry crossings. With so many local attractions within walking distance or a short journey in the car, this property is a must stay for that beach break.

The property was fine, ideal for us. The booking procedure was very confusing, we almost gave up and looked elsewhere. The VRBO website took our credit card details and we got an email confirming the booking so we assumed payment had been taken. We then later got an email from cottages.com with a different booking reference saying that our booking was cancelled due to non-payment. We’d been looking at various properties so didnt relate the two. After various phone calls it was finally sorted out. This should be clarified at time of initial booking!!

Cottages .com that manage the property are terrible. One e-mail confirming booking then nothing, impossible to contact them for lockbox details, unable to enter the property on first day , so had to book alternative accommodation, eventually able to contact Hoseasons, the 4th company who gave me the lockbox code. Once in , the house was exactly what we needed for our stay, thanks to the owners for that. I would hope to be reimbursed for the first night that we were unable to gain entry.
