Bluff House is one of Antigua's most distinguished villas, offering an unrivalled blend of elegance, history and location. Hidden within two acres of gardens, the property enjoys complete privacy while being just a five-minute stroll from the golden sands of Pigeon Beach and the vibrant bars, restaurants and marinas of English Harbour.
Perched directly above Falmouth Harbour, the villa commands sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea, where sailing yachts and superyachts glide in and out daily. The wrap-around terraces provide a spectacular setting at any hour, whether for sunrise coffee or cocktails at sunset. With cooling trade winds and an atmosphere of space and seclusion, Bluff House delivers the ultimate Caribbean retreat.
ACCOMMODATION
Bluff House comfortably sleeps 12-14 guests across six spacious bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms and featuring air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and crisp, white cotton linens.
The Palm Suite:super-king sleigh bed, large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, and direct private terrace access. This is our largest bedroom. The Fern Room is next door to the Palm Suite. Twin beds can be made up as a king. Forms part of the suite (but is entirely independent) and has its' own bathroom just across the corridor.
Botanical Bedroom - Elegant four poster bed, en-suite shower, walk-in wardrobe, and terrace access.
Coral Blossom Room- Flexible twin/super-king arrangement plus an additional single bed, en-suite shower, and private terrace seating.
Shell Studio (Lower floor) - Self-contained with super-king bed, sofa-bed, kitchenette, en-suite shower, and private outdoor seating.
Gardenia Room (Lower floor)- Twin beds (convertible to super-king), with en-suite shower, ideal for teenagers or crew.
The villa's layout, with four ground-floor bedrooms on one level, and two below, makes it particularly suitable for multi-generational groups.
LIVING & DINING
The villa offers expansive living areas designed for both relaxation and entertaining. The airy entrance hall leads to a comfortable sitting room with Smart TV, books and games, and an indoor dining space.
Three dining areas provide flexibility for every occasion:
A vast covered terrace with seating for up to 20 guests.
A poolside pavillion with dining for 12 and a mahogany topped bar - perfect for al-fresco lunches or sunset gatherings.
An indoor dining table seating 10 for more intimate meals.
The fully equipped kitchen reflects the villa's history as the former American Embassy, featuring dual ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and a De 'Longhi coffee machine. A large gas BBQ and pantry make entertaining seamless, while private chefs can be arranged to elevate any occasion.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Bluff House's gardens are designed to maximise its extraordinary setting. Guests can enjoy a large swimming pool with plentiful loungers, a separate spa infinity pool overlooking the harbour, and shaded lounging areas with Neptune rattan sofas - ideal for a quiet afternoon with a book.
SERVICES
A daily housekeeper ensures the villa remains immaculate. Additional services, including private chefs, catering, provisioning, childcare, and concierge assistance, can be arranged to create a bespoke experience.
Airport transfers, island tours, sailing charters, and car hire are easy organised through the on-island management team.

Our stay was absolutely amazing!!!!! The villa was beautiful. The views from the villa are fantastic!!! The swimming pool was perfect!!!!

The house is beautiful. In particular, the outdoor space was fantastic. We ate every meal on the veranda. The view of English Harbor was great. The pool was amazing and we used it a lot. The kitchen was well stocked. We had cleaning service every day, but didn't recall we would have that so didn't use their services as much as we could have.The only issue we had was the lock on the sliding glass door to the downstairs bedroom didn't work and wasn't fixed during our stay. The view, outdoor space and pool are worth it.

We enjoyed our stay. The property managers were very helpful.. Villa is in a spectacular location with great views. Property is well maintained and as shown in the listing. Happy to recommend it.
