La Ganza suite. The most charming sea of Tuscany

My wife and I spent a week at this property and had a blast. The location is ridiculously convenient. The hardest part of finding the place was that my Google Maps said I had arrived as soon as I pulled off the ferry. The apartment is literally 150 yards from the ferry terminal. Lots of great restaurants around and there is a nice grocery store a half mile away. Parking for the apartment is free. It is busy in the afternoon when people are going to the beach but no problems finding a spot in the afternoon or evenings. There are lots of great restaurants in walking distance. The host has a list of his favorites. Our favorite was Teatro. All outdoor seating on a huge terrace overlooking the city and the kitchen is across the street with waiters running back and forth. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. No need to cook. However, the apartment is well equipped with pots and pans, etc if that’s your thing. I was there for cycling and the beach. I was thrilled that there is a nice (small) bike shop on the bottom floor of the building. The mechanic there saved the day for me when I had a mechanical issue day one. Overall, the apartment is completely updated. Beautifully designed. Very comfortable. Two air conditioners, good hot water for shower, comfortable bed. We loved it! As far as activities, our favorite excursion was a boat rental. We tried two different places that didn’t have their act together and finally drove to the other side of the bay to go to Bagnaia where we rented a Predator 570 (no license required) for the day. OMG, we had a blast! Highly recommend. We tried to do it the following day but the weather didn’t allow. Just amazing. So fun. Like a moped for the water. We covered the island from tip to tip and found a small private cove where we anchored and had lunch and swam. I spent hours and hours researching places to stay. Do yourself a favor and stop now and just book this one. You won’t be disappointed.
