About this villa rental
Set in the nature on a private land of 4,000 sq. m near the village of Gallos, our villa has the unique advantage which will make you feel that you are staying in the nature although you will be next to everything! Facing towards the Cretan sea and only a few km away from the sandy beach and Rethymno town, the villa offers unspoiled views to the sea and full privacy. The sophisticated villa offers a peaceful atmosphere and modern amenities for restful holidays, perfect for families and children. Enjoy tranquillity, comfort and luxuriousness in this exquisite and unique villa.
Totally isolated and surrounded by nature but also close to everything the three-storey 240 sq. m villa manages to blend into the surroundings despite it minimalist design. It can accommodate 10 people in beds and up to 12 people if it is necessary.
Indoor layout
Entering the villa from the main entrance on the ground floor you will find a spacious open plan area with a fully equipped kitchen of top quality fixtures and appliances, living room area with satellite 55” HDTV with Netflix and an indoor dining table. The living room area opens to the veranda which offers exceptional views of the landscape and also connects you to the pool and the garden area through a staircase. There is also a WC on the ground floor.
Reaching the first floor through a staircase, there are 3 air-conditioned bedrooms and one bathroom with shower and hydro-massage. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed and the other has 2 single beds which can be transformed to be a double one if needed. All the bedrooms have access to the balcony.
A staircase from the living room area on the ground floor leads you down to the lower floor. This floor also has its own entrance from the outdoor and it could be a totally independent from the rest of the house. On this floor there is an open plan area with living room, secondary kitchen and dining table. Additionally there is a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and storage. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds which can be transformed to be a double one if needed. Additionally a bathroom with shower and hydro-massage are found on the same floor. This floor has also a direct access to the pool area.
This property has also 3 security cameras outside of the building.The first is at the main entrance , the second one is at the entrance of the lower floor (which is located as same level as the pool level) and the third one is at the pool.
There is none surveillance device inside the property.
Outdoor area
The beautifully landscaped outdoor area surrounded by trees and flowers offers a variety of facilities and spots for relaxation.
More specifically our outdoor facilities include:
- 55 sq. m ecological swimming pool
- Fully equipped charcoal barbecue area with a wood oven and sink
- Dining table
- A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, umbrellas and sofa and chairs) for relaxing in the veranda and the gardens around the villa
- Parking space
The whole outdoor area is totally private and fenced, offering 100% privacy to our guests.
The unique benefits of villa Emmanuela are:
- Panoramic sea views.
- The location, as the villa is situated a couple of minutes away from the town of Rethymno where you can find everything you possibly need besides and all of the main attractions of the town. Also, it is an ideal base for making excursions as it is close to the national road found in the centre of Crete.
- Very close to various sandy beaches with water sports on the North coast.
- Full privacy outdoors and owing to the fact the villa has its own private road there is no disturbance by traffic or neighbouring houses.
- Brand new villa with high quality in all the details to ensure comfortable stay.
- The lower floor (which is located as same level as the pool level) has its own entrance from outdoor and can be totally independent from threats of the house. This can offer even more privacy among guests.
- Fully equipped and organised barbecue area with large outdoor dining table.
- Huge fenced private area with many spots to relax.
- There is an organised tennis area with 4 courts at a distance of 600 meters where guests can have access after arrangement.
- The hospitality of the owner and his family who will be on hand with helpful advice and information whenever it is needed. The owners have a wide knowledge of the island and will be only to willing to suggest places of interest and routes to get there.

We enjoyed our stay. You will need a car - very little is walking distance - but on Crete you will need one anyway.
There are 2 mini-markets that cater for almost everything and Christo's taverna even delivers!
Check-in and -out is simple. The kitchen contains everything needed (incl. tools) and it is a true plus that herbs/spices are already there.
Outdoor/poolside covered seating ist spacious - and 4 umbrellas are certainly a top-plus for poolside leisure.
It is generally calm (apart from the neighbouring dogs guarding the sheep/goats) - unless the guests in other villas have nightlong parties (as was the case with us - but you cannot blame that on the villa)
In total: we can recommend it...

Our family holiday in Villa Emmanuella exceeded our expectations. First, Alexandra, the host's representative, stayed late into the night to ensure that we were welcomed properly to the property. This was very much appreciated after a delayed flight and an hour's drive from Chania.
Secondly, the property itself is stunning; spotlessly clean with everything provided including air-conditioning, board games and TVs. The pool and pool deck area make for great fun and there are beautiful views extending out to the sea, which are particularly relaxing when in the pool for a dip.
There are numerous balconies and outdoor seating areas for daytime relaxation and an extensive garden with secluded spaces.
There is a convenience shop a short walk away from the villa but supermarkets and other amenities are only a short car drive away. The beach is only a little further at about 10 mins' drive (although parking can be somewhat tricky).
Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would heartily recommend Villa Emmanuella and its hosts.

Our Crete family vacation was taken to a whole other level by staying at Villa Emmanuela. First, the property is luxuriously beautiful and secluded, just a quick 10min drive from Rethymno (don’t be deterred by a goat farm patch). Then the sliding gate opens to the house and parking deck, and to the right is the gorgeous pool deck, and just beyond is a walking garden full of pink, white flowers and bushy plants and fruit trees leading around the edge of the house. The house is exactly as pictured, plenty of kitchen supplies, very cozy living room, downstairs apartment can function separately, although we propped the door open and spent all our time hanging out together. Bathrooms are stocked and plenty of towels, both for the pool and for indoors. Washer, dryer and drying rack worked well and were so convenient. Great selection of balconies made a lovely start to the morning with a coffee to enjoy the scenery. Our family brought walkie-talkies so we could check in while everyone was mulling around the house, and it was fun to see the family calling to each other via walkie-talkies from different balconies. Pool deck had plenty of loungers and seating for all of us, not to mention a great collection of pool floats. The outdoor patio table is covered by an awning and perfect for lunches and outdoor dinners as the sun sets. We also really loved the pool shower. There’s a running track only 10min walk from the property and a small convenience store too, although we just did trips to the fruit and veg stands in the town.
Most of all, the hostess manager of the property is amazing. Greeks are notorious for being excellent hosts, and Konstantina went above and beyond her duties. For example, we sent in supplies for a treasure hunt game, and she helped set that up as well as arranged details to make our stay wonderful including ordering a flower arrangement for a birthday and even provided a gift basket with local baked goods! All of this was of course on top of the regular host duties (answering emails, providing advice, checking in, visiting to ensure we had enough linen, and responding to texts and answering questions in real time.) I don’t know if you will be lucky to get Konstantina because the property is owned by a different couple, but if you do, you’re guaranteed a responsive host and a great stay.

We had 12 wonderful days at this villa. There is really nothing anyone could miss in Konstantina’s house. She is so friendly and attentive, we felt very well hosted.
